It was a wonderful short holiday spent at this hotel. Excellent getaway in the busiest city of Sri Lanka. We coupled both business and vacation together on this journey. from the time we arrived we felt only warmth and care. The hotel is beautiful and new… I loved the jacuzzi and steam bath and spa was brilliant. The staff really go lengths to make you feel comfortable. The food was amazingly delicious. I loved breakfast. This hotel is a must try for anyone coming to Colombo. I need to mention a few people who elevated my stay the ladies and front desk especially Radhika, Fazmir at breakfast and Siva from the concierge. From the time we checked in and to the time we checked out it was a wonderful experience. It must be said that the restaurants at hotel are exquisit. The ambiance at capital bar grill was one of the best I’ve experienced. Hopefully will be back again at mid of the year. xo …

We had the buffet at The Capital restaurant. I'm a vegetarian, and I loved the extensive selection available to me. The service team was outstanding, led by the gracious and charismatic Dilshan (and this was probably the busiest restaurant I have been in for 3 years - a testament to the whole experience). The food was perfect - the crusts of the pizzas delicate and crisp, the buns warm, the curries spicy, the naans warm, crisp and almost melt-in-your-mouth - and these are just some highlights! Thank you Dilshan and team - we will return!

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for 2 weeks. I do a lot of business travel and this hotel ranks among the best I’ve stayed at. The hotel’s offerings and facilities are excellent (eg the breakfast is truly world class, and the hotel has one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen). The horizon club lounge makes an already comfortable stay even more delightful. I received impeccable service from the whole Team Horizon there, especially from Seniya, Saneera, Naveesha, Bhaggya, Chamin Dinesh. I look forward to returning again!

We stayed at Shangri-La for a couple of nights. Sajani at guest relations gave us an amazing welcome and made sure we are well-taken care of. Hotel’s daily buffet break was the best we had in our Sri Lanka trip. I highly recommend the spa at the hotel. We received a couples massage and it was very professional with a taste of luxury. Finally, cost of the stay was low compared to other 5-star hotels outside of Sri Lanka. If you are an Amex Platinum customer, there are extra benefits such as room upgrade, late check-in and complimentary breakfast.

The hotel is excellent, we received the best service from the hotel staff from the entrance of the hotel till will leave the hotel . Great welcoming and farewell we received from you which made our experience more memorable. I recently had my son's birthday party at Shangrila Colombo and it was an incredibly disappointing experience. For starters, the hotel staff did an incredibly poor job of serving the meal, with heavy delays and a lack of refills for some food items. There was also no vegetarian option, which was quite disappointing. The only seafood served was tuna fish and crabs, nothing else, which was quite a letdown. Furthermore, there was also no nitrogen ice-cream. All in all, I am left totally dissatisfied with the experience.

The extensive options offered at Central has always been well-received by all our visitors. It was very disheartening to read of your disappointment during your visit with us; but I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your feedback. We stayed in an Executive Suite on the 22nd floor for NYE! This time around we got the Executive Suite with a balcony and it was the best decision ever! Quite spacious with a beautiful view of Port City with the Parliament towards the side, we enjoyed watching the fireworks from the balcony. As always great amenities and luxuriously styled rooms! First time visitors, please book a Horizon Club Room or an Executive Suite to enjoy the benefits and view of Horizon Club Lounge. The Horizon Club Lounge is spacious, chic, Instagram-worthy, and a perfect place to work or enjoy watching the sunset. It's on the 32nd floor and is very quiet. The food served during high tea and cocktail hour is excellent. The staff, Naveesha, Seniya, Dinesh, Nilantha, and Chamin were extremely helpful and friendly! This hotel is hands down the best in Sri Lanka. We stayed at a few (dare i mention the Cinnamon brands). But Shangri La Colombo lives up to its standards globally. We had a slight hiccup with the wrong room being given to us but after raising it to the manager, Pradeepan - he quickly resolved all issues promply. He even took the care to bring sweets for my children to our room and his attentiveness and overall customer was impeccible. Pradeepan is a credit to this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will most definitely return.

We couldn’t ask for more. The decor, the location, the rooms, the space, the service, the food, the pool, the gym, the drinks and anything else you think a hotel needs to get 5 starts, this has it!! We were in a club room which meant we had lounge access too! It was wonderful, they have a happy hour from 5.30 to 7.30 and canapés most of the day. While we were having an evening drink (with INCREDIBLE views) we were greeted by the manager and assistant manager who gave us his direct number should their be anything else we need! Wonderful, highly recommend! Wish we could have stayed longer, and so following this visit we have booked the Shangri-la in Dubai.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 4 nights in December this year. This hotel is really nice - modern, clean and very well appointed. We stayed with 2 kids - 11 and 13. The food was great - international menu which went down well with them. A lovely swimming pool and roof garden - you could see the whole city! The hotel was dressed beautifully for Christmas - it was like the hotel from Home Alone - magical! The staff were great, in particular Deenisha who was so helpful particularly when our daughter was unwell and we had to call the Dr. The hotel called the Dr and Dr C arrived within 20 mins and was simply amazing - he is re-assured us and provided medication for my daughter which got her back on feet very quickly. We are so thankful to Dr C We would definitely return when we come to Sri Lanka again …
