The hotel's location is its downfall for me. Even though the hotel is located near some key areas like the train station, Galle green, dutch hospital, etc, the street is directly connected to the shipping harbor, which means no restaurants, shady people walking around, big trucks, and lots of noise. There is a mosque located near it which starts up...

I got a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Location is good in Colombo, near the market area and not too far from the train station (walkable). The staff were very friendly for our whole stay. The rooms are nice and pretty new.

As I was staying at the city hotel in Fort last time paying $50 per night I got a direct comparison. Both hotels are the same distance from the Train station, the City Hotel is in Fort and the Port View in Pettah. The Port View Hotel is sort of strange as it has a luxury feeling (glass showers, expensive...

This place is value for money. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and plush with hot water. . They’ve a global power outlet, so you can charge devices from any country. The staff at the reception desk is friendly and helpful. The location is near to the bus station, you can fetch a bus to and from the airport. They...

we spent our first day at this hotel, it was chosen because of it's location. we wanted to stay near the pettah area. but unlike the other four places we stayed in Sri Lanka, this hotel was disappointing. the room was clean. but there was no blanket, and the remote controller for air conditioning was not working. staffs were not...

Had a week stay here. Room are spacious, Clean. Should increase the services like laundry, free toiletries. Nearby area is noisy and can ruin you peace as the location in the main market area. Overall a good place to stay.

The area close to the hotelstreet may not be perfect for walking, daytime due to busy traffic and nighttime lack of streetlight, but the hotel is worth the cost. Just a few minutes walk and you are in the streets for bargain shopping at marketstands along the streets and normal shopping. I arrived early in the morning, but I got...

Location: - It's a budget hotel, more like a motel in the Petta area. Walking distance to Colombo Fort station. Most tuk tuk doesn't know the place. Room: - We got the room on 2nd floor facing the street. We got waken up by the honking noise early morning. Room was clean, bathroom was good. - there was only 1...

Price-wise this hotel is good. Somewhat near to the posh areas of Colombo 3, although we had hard times making Tuktuk drivers understand the location of the hotel. It is placed in a weird place near the port, with no good eateries around, and sadly- views were sore to the eyes. Service was really poor, the only staff they had...

We decided to do a stopover in Colombo with main idea of shopping. Picked this place since it was close to the station and we didn't want to spend too much on tuk tuk knowing how expensive travel in them is. The hotel was ok but located in the market area. However there were not many pubs or bars around....
