This is the hotel as many other similar in Turkey. The stuff is, as usually for Turkey, nice. For us sometimes it is strange their attitudes and ways towards hospitality and kindness. Simply, we do not need every time help about our luggage and so on. I spent nice time there. Hotel is on OK location and not expensive for...

An absolutely amazing experience, the staff were ever so friendly and helpful. Our trip wouldn't be the same without them. Bathrooms were a great size, mirror and lighting good throughout the rooms only problem was that the stair ways and landings were a bit dull. Nonetheless an absolute delightful stay. Would definitely recommend and may come over again. Jabbar family.

The location of the hotel is perfect, it was easy to access the metro and just move around in general. The room was way too small especially for 2 people, there was no variety in the breakfast offered, the food was not good at all.The smell of cigarette smoke in the foyer was bad. The Staff was very friendly and...

Very good place - i would recommend. Positives: Location - not in a majorly touristy area, which I liked as it felt a bit more authentic and there were some good local restaurants, which are hard to find in Sultanahmet (the main tourist area). You can walk to the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Blue Mosque etc and there are tram...

The hotel is located in the Laleli part of town, which is not part of the touristy places in Istanbul. However, the area is not a bad part of town, and the hotel is about 50m from both a tram line taking you to the Blue mosque and Topkapi palace, and 50m from a metro station taking you to Taksim....

This is a great little hotel, in a fab location. Set on a very quiet side street, halfway between the Laleli University tram stop and the Veznecilar metro station, it's perfect for getting to Istanbul's main tourist sights. The hotel is a solid 3* quality: The nice breakfast room offers a hot & cold buffet. It's not a huge choice,...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
