The location is great and you can do lots of walking from the hotel. The design is different and modern with an oriental touch. The rooms were very, very small and looking over a courtyard made our room too dark. I did not like that the glassdoor between the room and the toilett did not shut properly - no privacy...

We had two rooms, one was the superior room while the other one was executive room with a balcony and a beautiful view of the city and Bosphorus. The bathroom was very nice and clean though the tubs were uncomfortably high. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating they even upgraded our room. The standard rooms are small but the...

A great little boutique hotel, nesled in vibrant Istanbul. Very well priced and the room we stayed in which was one the larger rooms was very well priced for what we got. They had a nice hammam downstairs although the pool was a little small. The staff at the hammam gave a great scrub/hamman and massage. Also it's in a...

The rooms had a modern-turkish look to it. Initially we were placed in room 1201- a tiny room. However, after a complaint we were moved to the standard (larger) superior room. Love: Free wifi acess, trendy rooms, proxiity to metro and tram lines. Friendly staff. Dislike: same breakfast everyday, can literally guess it. (breads, fruits, sausages, yogurt, eggs and same old...

Myself and a friend stayed here for 5 nights in June, we were on the third floor overlooking a courtyard. The room was very nice and well decorated. The furnishings are very modern and elegant, a downside is that the tea and coffee facilities are chargeable, 3 euros for a cup of tea or coffee. The sauna and Turkish bath...

The staff were very friendly. The rooms were very small. They kept having difficulties such as no wifi, no internet, no tv, and the safe didn't work one night. They were slow to fix these problems. The biggest problem however, is that every Friday and Saturday night the hotel becomes an all-night disco, so it is impossible to sleep here....

As other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms at this hotel are very small, and the only furniture has the air of cheap flat-pack (desk/wardrobe). However, the tiny bathrooms are modern and well decorated, and it's unlikely you'd want to spend too much time in your hotel whilst in Istanbul anyway. The pool area was understaffed at times so it got...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
