Good location in the middle of old town is the best thing about this hotel. Hotel isn't new. Room and bathroom is separated with poor glass so-called door. Sheets and towels was not changed for 4 days. In general they have problem with cleaning - interior details are painted gold but in top of paint there is 1 cm layer...

Good location. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to the tram station. It is also near the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. They serve free breakfast. Local shops and restaurants are on the same street as well. The staff were helpful and friendly.

I've stayed at this hotel with my friends. We were there in the middle of March. We booked three triple rooms. Two of them were small but the beds were comfortable and the blanks were clean, which is very important after exploring the city all day long. The breakfast was poor but it wasn't so important to us. The best...

Had a great stay in this hotel which is a 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque. It is a very short walk to the Grand Bazaar, the Bosphorus as it is in the centre of Sultanamet. The service from the porters were great, even ran off to buy some beers for us late at night. If you are on...

Booked this hotel while stranded in Istanbul during the snowstorm in mid February. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely and friendly member of the staff and realized that the entire hotel was under extensive renovation works. We were escorted to our room, located at the basement. The room was large enough, with one double and two single beds,...

The worst hotel stay that I have ever experienced! I wasn't expecting more than a budget-level stay, but this was way worse than any of the bad hostels that I have stayed before. I would make sure to avoid this place! The location is perfect, very short distance to all the major sights, but you can find much nicer places...

I rented this place due to it's proximity to the Blue Mosque area, public transportation, the Grand Bazaar and tour buses. It is very reasonable but is a budget hotel. The people working the counter are friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is decent and you can either walk to everything or hop on some form of transportation to get...

I styed for one night during July 2014 as I had to visit some popular tourist areas in Istanbul during my business trip and after search around the Sultanahmet district I found this budget hotel nicely located in the middle of all attractions (Blue mosque, Aya Sofia, Grand Baazar, and Tram station). The hotel is a budget hotel where you...

Think hostel not hotel. Very cheap and serves its purpose, not advisable for family s but I would say ok for bag packers. Make sure you stick to your guns when paying remainder of the bill when you arrive they tried to apply an additional 10% to ours followed by 10 minutes of faff whilst he 'looked' for the discrepancy

The location of the hotel is perfect, it is within walking distance to all places of interest; Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, Topakapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and much more. The night staff were more than helpful, they couldn't do enough for us and made us feel most welcome. A nice typical Turkish breakfast was provided but apart from that...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“Confirm your room ahead of time and if you are having them pick you up at the airport be sure they confirm that as well. It is on a quiet street so don't worry about noise.”

“Avoid top floor rooms as I was disturbed early morning by birds feeding noise at the roof of my room. Moreover the lift goes till only 3rd floor and you need to take stairs to reach top floor (4th floor)”
