This is a very well appointed hotel, all with a very true to form modernist appeal, in both ergonomic as well as the aesthetic. The rooms are spacious, super comfortable bed, and large bathroom. It's chic, stylish, and modern without trying too hard. Apart from the rooms, the highlight of the hotel is truly the rooftop. Unlike 5-star chain hotels,...

Just had another amazing visit to Istanbul, staying at I’zaz , because why would you stay anywhere else? Here you are right in the middle of everyday Turkish life and culture with the luxury and experience you would expect from any European boutique. Hakan is a really nice guy and there to advise you if required, otherwise you are left...

A friend had recommended i'zaz to us, she had stayed there in September. Hakan, the manager met us when we arrived from the airport. Our room was on the 3rd floor. That room has a great little balcony that overlook the street. This was great during the evening, we would leave the balcony door open and there was no need...

The place to be and to stay in Istanbul. Amazing desing and very well located for shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The roof top/terrace is fantastic with a glass of wine or coffe. Rooms are comfortable. Their attention to detail was a very nice touch. Very accommodating. Great place to stay.

It is two words together: friendly and professional. Fell in love with I'zaz. It was just like a modern family house. The terrace was awesome. Hope I can come back again one day. Thanks for making my trip easier and happier.

After a week longing, "Turkish" crazy trip in Turkey, we flew back to Istanbul and stayed for a bit more. We thought I'zaz was a cool, modern choice. And it was more than that. We had some obvious worries about the trip before flying there. And honestly, my partner and I didn't expect to be welcomed that warm by the...

I was travelling from Cape Town to San Francisco via Istanbul and decided last minute to stay for a day in Istanbul since. I found this hotel via Hotel Tonight the day before and it turned out to be an amazing find. The room was cozy and well appointed, with an amazing bathroom. The location was within easy walking distance...

Our stay at I'zaz was absolutely amazing! The location is great (bustling neighborhood, close to the fish bazaar and shopping mile), plenty of good restaurants and bars in close proximity (5-10 minutes of walking) and in walking distance to the tramway which will take you directly to Sultanahmet. I'zaz itself is a very nice house in a quiet and safe...

Actually I am writing this review on the terrace of the hotel now. It is our last day in Istanbul before we head back to the US. My wife and I booked the 4th floor since we had seen recent reviews that it was close to the terrace. It is well sized, full of light, and very clean. While Istanbul...

"Your review" - I’zaz was a great find. I had a long weekend, what to do, Istanbul was the answer. I booked the top loft at I'zaz which turned out be a perfect choice for me. The loft was cozy, warm, and clean, it was really cold and rainy in Istanbul during my stay. That loft is just below the...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
