The Adamar is the perfect place to stay in Istanbul. Centrally located in the historic district, one can see St. Sofia's and the sea from the room 402 window. The hotel has a 6th floor restaurant with a panoramic view of the city, as well as an open air level. A Turkish bath is a MUST only 2 blocks away...

We (my husband, myself and two friends) stayed at the Adamar hotel for four nights over the May bank holiday weekend. We both had double rooms and whilst these were fairly compact in size, they were tastefully decorated and themed, and had all the amenities required. > > If you're a light sleeper try to avoid rooms on Yerebatan Street...

The hotel is very central and in walking distance to many attractions. It is quite modern and is great for a city break. The staff are very good - Mehmet and Kubilay on reception were very good at helping out and gave us good advice as we were 5 ladies travelling together. Also the porter and the waitress at breakfast...

Well, The Adamar is not only a comfortable, clean hotel with friendly and very helpful staff in a perfect location which doesn't cost a fortune to stay in but... if you do want more then I suggest you go to the 6th floor and, passing through the restaurant with half closed eyes so you don't spoil the surprise, climb the...

Adamar Hotel is situated near all highlights of Istanbul, very clean rooms and good beds, best service, restaurant is okay, the view from the restaurant and the roof terrace about the town, Marmara and Bosporus is wonderful. The price for this nice hotel is okay. If we would go to Istanbul again we would take Adamar Hotel.

We had a fantastic experience last week with our city-trip to Istanbul. With the exploration of the old city in mind, we looked for a nice hotel with a strategically good position. So we found the Adamar hotel in de centre of the Topkapi, Sultanahmet and Bazarquarters. Adamar hotel has many strong points: a nice accommodation and clean and comfortable...

The Adamar Hotel is in the perfect location in the cultural heart of Istanbul. Surrounded by the most amazing sights a city centre can hold. The Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar are all within a few minutes walk. The staff were the most friendly and helpful I’ve met on my travels for some time. I...

I just stayed at the Adamar hotel for 4 nights over the royal wedding. I was a solo traveler and was given a room with 2 twin size beds. The room was small by American standards, but very clean, moder, and had all the amenities one would need. There are 25 rooms in the hotel on 5 floors. Each floor...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
