The hotel is located in a great location, very accessible by tram to all the sites. You can even walk to them, it's not that far. Although bring your hiking boots because it is situated on top of a steep hill that can be an intense, albeit brief, workout. The rooms were very spacious and quite modern. But the one...

We and friends booked out the whole hotel for five nights as part of a birthday celebration, and absolutely loved the hotel and its friendly, considerate staff. Emrah at reception was a notable stand-out. The hotel is beautiful inside, with knock-out views from the fifth and sixth floors. It is close to all the action in Beyoglu, an easy 15min...

Great place, clean and very friendly, willing to go the extra mile. Couldn't recommend it enough. Two downsides, no pool and if coming from the river side then a 200m hill to climb up. However don't let either of these put you off, as the rest of the offering easily made up for these. Incredible views from the penthouse over...

The hotel is beautiful with excellent location, a few minutes walk from Tazim Square. The best thing about Witt is the service from ALL the staff, especially Emruh. We absolutely love the gourmet breakfast buffet with the best quality of food and of course the service and the view from the lounge. This is the jewel absolute jewel of Istanbul.

Everything about our short stay here was fantastic. We were upgraded to the Penthouse Suite. What a room, what a view! Very stylish decor and a 180 degree balcony, with a view of the best part of the city. Staff very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I just returned from a week at the Witt while we were visiting Istanbul. The Witt provided: spacious, comfortable rooms delicious breakfast every morning (try the omelet!) with coffee and juice. An extremely helpful and courteous staff. I can say they went above and beyond for us. The location is phenomenal - you are < 2 mile...

We have just spent a wonderful couple of nights at the Witt Suites. Location, design, space, views, service, the Witt delivers wonderfully on all these. Breakfast was really nice too and Eurah at reception made great restaurant suggestions near the hotel. Witt is located in a district that is close to everything of interest for tourists and business people alike,...

Very nice rooms and lovely service. This place definitely caters to Americans and English speakers, which is fine (as I am both), but in a place like Istanbul, I prefer to get a bit more "lost in translation". No fault of theirs - they do a great job. Make sure you tell the taxi driver that you are near the...

Spending the extra money for the suites is worth every Euro. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful, namely Aykut and Eurah from the reception are standing out. We liked the design of the hotel, the columns in the reception area are somewhat in the way. The location is very central, a 5 Euro taxi ride gets you to all...

Wow this is honestly the nicest boutique hotel. The service is amazing, the hotel design and rooms are beautiful (certainly helped with an upgrade to a sea view suite). It's located in a trendy area and away from packed tourist areas. All sites are just a 2-5min tram away. Would def stay here again!

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Witt Istanbul Suites has an excellent location within walking distance from Istanbul's business district, Istanbul Modern museum and the buzzing bars and boutiques of both Beyoglu and Cihangir. All 15 suites span a generous 60m2. They are popular for long-stay guests as each has a Carrera marble-clad kitchenette with microwave, fridge and Nespresso machine. The super-cool beds with curved headboards and the laptop desks have been especially designed for Witt Istanbul Suites by Autoban. Sheets and towels were also commissioned from Denizli, a famous purveyor of Turkish linen. Cable TV, an excellent DVD collection, ipod docks and a welcome gift of multi-coloured macaroons are indulgent touches. But it's the bathrooms that make these suites really special. The ergonomic Corian sinks with pebble-shaped handles and the cluster of shower-heads that create a cocoon of misty hot water are all from designer Ross Lovegrove's Istanbul collection from Vitra. ... more   less
