The staff were fabulous. Very friendly and organised a cab for us. We left a phone in the cab when we got to the airport and they were already on to it and made sure we got it ASAP. Over and above customer service and free brekkie!

Super great little place. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The location was prime for sightseeing and walking around the district. The language barrier made getting directions, and finding a taxi difficult (the reason I dropped a star).

I was there with my sister until 12 days. It's good hostel with very kindness personal. The location is very good because you're living near the SultanAhmet square, it's almost 5 minutes from hostel. There is a lot of restaurants, but sometimes it was little bit loud. There is no Tv, but when you traveling actually you don't need it😄and they don't have a Elevator, but it's ok, cuz Esmet will helps you 😉 And last thing, for staff. You need to give the slippers for your guests 😀

It was a very nice stay for me and my sister from March 6 to 9. The hotel is 3 minutes walking to Aya Sofia from where u can take the bus to and from airport. Staff very nice .Mrs Zeinab helped us change the room. She and her husband very welcoming and helpful . The hotel is under renovation now . We had a smoother breakfast : cheese ,tomatoes, cucumber, olives black and green , coffee , honey and butter .wifi connection good.hot water. Clean beds and sheets. Thank u Sultan hostel for the nice stay. Will stay again soon.

I stayed at the Sultan Hostel because HI Hostels can usually be relied upon for a fairly cheap, clean, comfortable and secure place to sleep and to stash my bags while I explore a town. The Sultan doesn't quite achieve that standard. Yes, it's cheap, but neither as clean or comfortable as I'd expect: the ambience in the dorms is mostly noise and cigarette smoke, beds are held together with tape, and many of the power sockets in the dorms are broken. Service and facilities are minimal, as is the English of some of the staff, and security is almost non-existent. The only redeeming features are the breakfast and the fantastic location - barely a block from Sultanahmad, the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc. It's acceptable if you can't afford anything better, but it wouldn't hurt to shop around.

IS TRULY APPROPRIATE FOR A SULTAN. You are treated like sultan. Cool place and great location. Soon. Sultan Hostel was a delightful experience overall. It may be kinda old for us millennials, but that's ok.

Even the dumbest room cleaner knows that temptation, if any case happens the customer will say something to management as soon as she realize something stolen, right? In most hostels they dont keep records who cleaned which room. So this smarter than hotel owner or manager lady keeps what she is doing because nobody dealt immediately and conclusively with the ugly situation.. incompetent and weak management may play a role here too..i dont know, all i know dont leave your stuffs in these shared ladies room for a long time. especially in female dorms..
