We had the pleasure of staying at the Osmanhan hotel for 4 days at the beginning of December2016. The hotel sent a car to pick us up at the airport. We were greeted with turkish tea and coffee when we arrived and immediately felt comfortable and welcome. The trip ended with us being driven to the airport by one of...

Really pleasant place 10 minutes from theBlue Mosque, the main bazaar, and Agia Sophia and around the corner from very good restaurants and rug shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only down side are the steep stairs, but they've happy to carry your luggage.

After staying in three different parts of Turkey (all exceptional!), I have to say that staying at Osmanhan was the highlight of our stay. When my friend and I (two American women) arrived at Osmanhan, we were warmly greeted by Cengiz at the front desk. He provided us with maps, recommendations, and a transportation card to load money onto/use during...

A small hotel at a very nice location. The room was nice, and the staff went out of their way to help with everything. Complementary breakfast at the roof top had a very nice variety and some amazing views of the bosphorus. Recommended.

Great facility located in Old Town/Sultanahmet area. An easy walk to major attractions such as Haghia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Room are nicely sized and decorated. Breakfast buffet is provided on their terrace which provides nice city views as well as the Bosphorus. All that said, the staff could not be pleasant and helpful both while planning your visit...

From our easy airport pick up, to thoughtful check in, to lovely clean and spacious room, to delicious roof top breakfasts, and helpful recommendations/directions. All in all, it could not have been better. We highly recommend Osmanhan Hotel. This is the time to go to Istanbul. We felt completely safe, and experienced no wait times for all major attractions. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with a friend of mine and we absolutely loved it. This was our first trip to Turkey and the hotel staff, Cengiz in particular made us feel right at home. He went above and beyond and made our stay at Osmanhan very special. He was very informative and knowledgable and patient as...

We stayed for four nights but wish it had been longer. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. The staff were extremely cheerful and helpful-nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were outstanding-plenty of choice and freshly baked treats to go with the great coffee and sensational view.

From the moment we were picked up from the airport to the moment we left the hotel we felt like we were at home. You meet Cengez at the reception who is doing masters in history at a local university and who will always assist you in every possible way. Every time we went to the lobby, he stood us...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
