Osmanhan Hotel's strategic location in Sultanahmet area allows us the easy accessibility to Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, tram station etc. Managed by young manager, Fatih, the hotel provided us a cosy room with a totally refreshing rain shower. Maps, simple orientation briefs, food recommendation and prompt assistance to anything we need is well facilitated and taken care of,...

This is a small hotel with 7 rooms. The rooms themselves are veru nice with a good shower, air con , tv and tea making stuff. very clean and smart. We stayed at the Osmanhan Hotel our last two nights in Turkey. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Fatih and Fuot were the most gracious hosts and were very helpful in orienting us to the area. We actually stayed in Istanbul for a week at the beginning our trip, but stayed in an apartment on the Asian...

Wonderful experience at Osmanhan. Great location within minutes of Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, tons of restaurants, shopping and the tram (which is super easy to use), but still a nice quiet neighborhood. Breakfasts were lovely, served on the terrace overlooking the water to one side and the Blue Mosque minarets to the other. Room was comfortable, spacious, and nicely...

Also walking distance to the tram line allowing easy travel to & from the airport. In addition, the hotel was clean & well maintained. Breakfast was plentiful with great variety to suit everyone. Staff was...

We selected the Osmanhan Hotel due to its location and various recommendations in tripadvisor and other guides (Merian). What we found was not only a very hotel but Turkish hospitality at its best. We stayed in the Osmanhan Hotel for a long weekend. Despite the location – it is just a 5 min walk from the Blue Mosque – the...

This is an excellent choice if you would like to be in the old area between the Blue Mosque and the sea. Rooms are maintained very well and have a nice street view. The breakfast room, and an open terrace above it, have truly wonderful views of the sea and the ship traffic. Great for a cup of coffee in...

On the other hand hotel- related serves are also satisfactory with its respective staff and oppurtunities that are provided. Breakfast is very delicious and fresh. The hotel has a very nice terrace with very nice sea view.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
