We've stayed here two times and we enjoy it a lot. Super friendly staff, happy to help us figure out what to do during our brief stays. Quiet in a beautiful area, walking distance to a lot of areas that we were interested in seeing. Nice breakfast and comfortable room.

Location is also perfect, if hard to find. Looking on booking.com I saw some interesting budget room but they apparently were full so I ended up with the owner's personal room, which was pretty dirty and noisy. Wifi was pretty bad but Breakfast, location and staff make for it. There's a nice view on the sea from the balcony and...

It is difficult to start describing this place. One finds it online described with words such as "charming" and "boutique" as well as "new." In the case of the Mystic Hotel, none of these attributes fit the place. The place is a composite of old and new, strewn together by spotty labor at best. This leads to a dusty place,...

We spent 4 nights here. For this price you do not expect 5 star hotel but you think that at least will be clean. But it was not. Dust was everywhere. Under the bed and next to the fridge was so much dust as if it was not clean for ages! Window was impossible to open. As we were fIying...

My partner and I had 3 nights booked here, we left for our last night for alternate accommodation. The location is good, walking distance for the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. But with the location being the only good thing, I would recommend booking somewhere else as there are plenty more places around. When we arrived, the man said his...

I stayed 5 nights at Mystic Hotel with my family and it has been a fantastic experience. The hotel is just 5 minutes walking from the Blue Mosque, 5-10 minutes walking from Aya Sofia, few miutes walking from Topkapi Palace and 10 minute walking from the Grand Bazaar. The tram stop is just 5 minutes walking to go everywhere in...

Very convenient place for active tourists. Very friendly hostess and cozy rooms. If you want to try on living like real Turkish people , and dissolve in local atmosphere, then that is the right place to stay.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
