Date:30 Sept 2010 Agree with abazizah. I went to Istanbul on 20th Sept until 25th Sept 2010. It’s a clean hotel and the location is excellent. You can just walk or use tram to go the major attractions in Istanbul. I book a room for two and I can say that it is a small room even for Asians like...

We booked ensuited 2 double & 2 triple for 4 nights. Hotel is new, location is great - close to gulhane tram station, short walking distance to either sultanahmet/ beyazit (grand bazaar) and sirkeci/eminonu. Grand lobby, great selection of breakfast, tv in the room, air-conditioned, hot water 24 hrs, very quiet. However, the hotel is not 100% finished, works still...

I stayed with my husband at Sirkeci Park Hotel for 10 days in the month of May. Originally we planned to tour the Western part of the country and only stay a few days in Istanbul, but we changed our plans as we decided to relax and enjoy this wonderful city - and what a city! It offer the best...

We stayed in this hotel alternatively as we did not like our previous one because of it's neighbourhood. How lucky we were! It is located just 4-5 mins from main 'attractions' like Yerebatan Sarayi, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Rooms were in fact quite small, but it is very common in this area. Extremely clean! Staff very helpful and friendly,...

The Sirkeci Park Hotel was a very pleasant experience. The location was terrific--one block from a tram stop (making it easy to get to/from the airport) and less than 10 minutes walk from all of the main sights in Sultanahmet-- Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and the underground Cistern. The room was very small, but fine for our...

This hotel is recommended for all of course depending on what you want. This is our experience. In this part of Istanbul have many hotels but some of these hotels, you can brighten or ruin your stay in Istanbul. Explain why. In this hotel I was staying with a friend in November 2009, when was is Kurban Bajram. We stay...

First of all, the positives. You couldn't get a better hotel for cleanliness, location and friendliness of staff. We stayed in a 'budget' double room which was small but not claustrophobic. The view looked out at the back of the hotel onto a back street but was not unpleasant. The hotel was only two minutes walking to topkapi palace and...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
