This Hotel felt like home sweet home, it was a traditional Turkish hotel which is very hard to find nowadays, rooms were clean, service fantastic & price was great. The view of the Blue Mosque is amazing, reception open 24/7, staff friendly including Honey(Parrot). I would highly recommend staying at this safe hotel, the beds are comfortable, toilets are clean and...

The hotel is very good located in the heart of historical (touristic) area. Prices are quite reasonable. In my case the room was quite small, but being an active tourist I haven't been spending a lot of time there. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help.

A bad hotel in my opinion. Been to many hotels in the Şirkeci district, which were same price but quality was way better. The rooms are small, old, no breakfast included, heating system is taken care by the reception, so you can't adjust yourself. However location is very nice for a person which visits Istanbul for the first time. It's...

The hotel has a great location, helpful and friendly staff, clean room, functional bathroom amenities. We had two rooms, a large room with a breathtaking view of the Blue Mosque, and a smaller one facing the back alley but a clean and comfortable room nonetheless. A strategic place for a tourist as it is within easy walking distance to major...

When we arrived there was a mix-up with our booking, but it was quickly rectified with an upgrade to a better room. Perfect view of the Blue Mosque from our window. The hotel is basic but very clean, super location and while the breakfast was the standard cold meats, cheese bread etc everything was nicely served and tasty. More flavour...

Arasta Boutique has a great location and while rooms may be smaller than some western travelers may be used to -- you are in Istanbul to see the sights, not lounge in your hotel room. The staff were very helpful in showing us good restaurants (literally taking the time to walk us to them), pointing us toward a great Turkish...

This hotel pretty much ruined my visit to Istanbul. First of all I was tired and grumpy the whole time because I couldn't get a good sleep. The walls in my room were paper thin, so I heard everything that was going on in the hotel. Also the air was very stuffy and there was a lousy smell everywhere that...

I stayed here based on previous reviews, location and of course the price! Stayed with my six yr old son and 21 yr old daughter. I booked online for four nights, breakfast not included, for a triple room - $80.00 AUD. When we arrived we were shown to room 101 - it was literary a cupboard under the stairs! One...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
