Stayed here for 2 nights on a weekend break in this wonderful city. Location: The taxi driver from the airport had trouble finding it but we made it in the end with help from locals. Maybe take a map with you for reference. The hotel is very well situated and within easy reach of historical sites, the port, the tram... More

Aside from the bright clean and modern rooms, the service at Hotellino is one of a kind. Everybody was lovable, extremely helpful and especially smiling all the time. Definitely THE place to stay in Istanbul. No surprise it has won so many prizes. Tashakourat Hotellino for this wonderful stay!

Excellent location to waterfront, train, local sites, reasonable walk to the other side of the Golden Horn....minimal traffic noise as not on a main thoroughfare. We were given some Turkish coffee on check-out and a chocolate for Eid. I was helped to print boarding passes and the wifi was free.

We arrived in Istanbul with my in-laws (we were 4 adults, two of them pensioners), and made our way from Ataturk Airport to Sirkeci tram station without a hitch, thanks to some kind strangers and some research. After dragging our wheelie bags through the streets of Istanbul, following our map and the directions of the local shopkeepers, we arrived at... More

My wife and I stayed here for a few days in Sept having booked fairly last minute but based on Tripadvisor reviews. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. The location is amazing, so local to the blue mosque, walk to the bridge, walk to the grand bazaar etc. The staff were super-helpful and friendly, the rooms are good... More

I actually stayed at this hotel two years ago in October 2010 but my experience with them was so fantastic that I felt I had to add a positive review of this great hotel. Service was excellent, rooms were very clean and location was awesome. For example, when we arrived in Istanbul, it was one of my friends' birthday the... More

We stayed for 3 nights in Sept 2012 and were super happy with our choice of this hotel. The room was clean and bright, contemporary decoration with all mod cons (no bath, but excellent shower). The staff were really helpful with what to see and how to get there, the wifi worked great, and the breakfast buffet was TREMENDOUS! The... More

Hotel is well situated in the quieter old part of the city very near to a tram station. Rooms have air conditioning which is very efficient. You can walk to all the main attractions. The owner and her staff were very helpful, making sure you made the most of your stay. Breakfast was good with the normal continental style.

We stayed here twice: once at the beginning of our honeymoon and once at the end. Our experience improved as time went on! The negative: - We checked in the first time really late as our flights were delayed and our room absolutely stunk of cigarettes despite it being non-smoking and had two single beds (not together but separate). I... More

We booked a double and a twin room at the Hotellino for the four of us, requesting manmade fibre bedding and quiet, non-smoking rooms. The hotel manager Eren was very helpful via email and is an excellent communicator for all my questions about the hotel, the area and the city before we travelled. On arrival we were greeted by Suzan... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
