Amazing service and kindness from the front desk staff. They were friendly compassionate and accommodating. We arrived from a red eye flight exhausted and they allowed us an early check in and breakfast. They have an incredible front desk who helped arrange a great sunset BOSPHORUS boat tour. We loved their gym! Great equipment and well maintained. Water bottles and towels and wonderful space. Great location to walk to all the sights. They have a taxi stand outside and the staff helped us negotiate our rides.

Hotel's Favourite
Hotel Amira was perfect for our family of 4 - including a 10 year old and a 7 year old - traveling to Istanbul for the first time for sightseeing in August 2023. We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel staff was excellent, everyone was gracious and helpful, most spoke excellent English, and communication prior to and after booking was great. We were in the family corner suite (rooms 702 and 703 connected), which was two separate rooms with their own bathrooms, connected by a private interior hallway. One of the rooms had a balcony with room enough for a small table and two chairs. The hotel had a terrific buffet breakfast included in the cost, which had enough options for our picky eater children! There were several other families with children staying at the hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and quiet! We all slept soundly even though we were on a busy corner in a touristy neighborhood. The location of this hotel was outstanding… for first time Istanbul travelers, we highly recommend staying here. The hotel is a short walk to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Hippodrome, Harem Hammam, Topkapi Palace, Spice Market, and Grand Bazaar. It was also close to the ferry, on which we crossed to visit the Asia side one day. Given how bad traffic is throughout Istanbul, we really didn’t have to rely on cabs or multi-mode transportation to see all of the sights, although we did hop on the tram at the Sultanahmet stop to take us to further neighborhoods a couple of times. The best part about this hotel was the rooftop view of the water, the breathtaking sunsets, and the top of the Blue Mosque all lit up at night. Dinner and drinks up on the roof were excellent, too, and made for a great arrival evening. This is a great hotel for families and we’ll recommend it to any family and friends who plan to travel to Istanbul.

Would I stay here again knowing what I know? Absolutely. Would I recommend to a friend? Highly! Our room was quite large with its own private balcony. The bathroom had a bathtub, which was the primary reason for booking with this hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, I can’t say enough nice things about them. The hotel is in close walking distance to the Blue Mosque and other attractions. There is a convenient store across the street for snacks and drinks. If you found my review helpful please let me know and give me a thumbs up.

When we arrived at the Hotel Amira we were greeted in an extremely friendly but not intrusive manner. Despite booking a standard room, we received one with a balcony. Of course, we received a city map in which the destinations we were looking for were entered. We received a public transport card with remaining balance upon request and returned it. Although the balcony faced the street, the room was quiet with the window closed and air conditioning (with remote control) and had everything you needed: safe, refrigerator, toiletries, hairdryer, slippers, bathrobe, balcony furniture, kettle (tea, coffee), daily fresh water bottles. The breakfast left nothing to be desired: especially: freshly prepared Gözleme every day as desired, freshly squeezed orange juice as much as you want, warm dishes that change every day. If something was no longer there, it was immediately replaced (even shortly before the end!), and small accidents were repaired immediately and discreetly. The hotel itself is a 5-minute walk from the Blue Mosque and therefore super central to everything worth seeing. If you have enough steps on your pedometer after 3 days and have had enough of the somewhat annoying speech from sales-crazy men, you can increasingly switch to public transport. (Once you understand the system, super easy!) This saves energy and time! The food at Sirvan Sofrasi next door was delicious, nice to sit in the evening at sunset. The last beer from across the street was served every day on our own balcony. The second duvet was under the bed ready the whole time... next time we'll ask for it. The hotel far exceeded our expectations, the price-performance ratio (€670 for 4 nights including breakfast and flight for 2 people) ... great!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The location was such a close walk to all the touristy places in Istanbul but yet when you walked out the front door you felt you were in a local neighborhood. The staff were beyond incredible. Every night they gave us beyond a remarkable recommendation for dinner. If you come to Istanbul and want to be close by the sights, stay here.

I cannot overstate how great our experience was here. We arrived in Istanbul very early in the morning and the staff at Amira provided us with a complimentary breakfast while finding an unoccupied room of the same class for us to be able to settle in and get some needed rest. This enabled us to reset, starting our adventure across Turkey feeling refreshed. The food was great and the location was perfect (a five minute walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque). Hotel Amira is a winner!!!!! 🙏🏻😊🙏🏻

Absolutely perfect hotel. It's in a wonderful location with a perfect roof top to watch the sunsets. The front desk guys are exceptional. Morning breakfast is the perfect way to start the day, and don't forget the omelets being made in the adjacent room. We will defiantly stay there again!

Outstanding location to access main sites for a first time visitor to Istanbul. Surprisingly quiet at night and staff are exceptionally attentive (they help you right away!). We stayed in a deluxe double sea view room with balcony which was very large and had a separate doored seating area (which is nice if someone wants to stay up later). Beds comfortable (main bed would be what I call a double). Small balcony with view of rooftops and river. Bathroom clean and adequate (not spa like if that is your thing). Overall I think this hotel provides great value for your money, especially if you like a larger room to spread out a bit. I looked at many, many hotels and this one offered the best location and facilities for the price. Only minor complaint would be very limited closet space but not a deal breaker. Breakfast is fresh with lots of variety. Would stay here again without hesitation.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we were made to feel extremely welcome. All staff were friendly and helpful. The reception team gave us plenty of advice about where to go, eat, and what tours to do. We took them up on several suggestions. The location was fantastic. A short walk to the hippodrome and the Blue Mosque. We had a sea view from the balcony which was fabulous. The breakfast options were great with plenty of choice. My favourite was the lady making the flat bread pancakes with fillings of your choice. A great little hotel with plenty of character and fantastic staff. Thank you to all for making our stay so wonderful.
