Nothing fancy, but I felt it was a great location with attentive staff. Decent breakfast, clean rooms, nice bathroom. It was a little bit off the main road in Sultanahmet, but only a few minutes walk to Starbucks or the metro stop, and about 10 min or less to the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia.

This place is in a great location and the breakfast is good. But... The outside verandah now looks nothing like the picture as no pot plant has been watered for months and hence they are all dead. The rooms (we had a so called suite) are on the small side. If you are like us and have two bags you...

Perfect location, so near to Blue mosque and Ayasofya and lots of great restaurants and roof terraces. The staff are incredibly helpful and stored our bags for a few days while we went on tour. Rooms are small but the other advantages make it worthwhile.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel at the beginning of our trip to Turkey and 2 nights at the end. Let me just say that on both occasions they messed up our reservation (which was done through a hotel booking service... is this the culprit??). However they did their best to accommodate us and upgraded us to the Marmaris...

The hotel is supremely located in the heart of the Sultanahmet district and its many attractions and boasts an outstanding manager and reception staff. Our room, by choice, had a great view of the vast ship anchorage in the Sea of Marmara and, directly below our window, a small and picturesque mosque. The breakfast selection is impressive and tasty. The...

The hotel is situated within easy walking distance to most of the main attractions. We arrived early for our stay as we had travelled overnight from Ayverlik and the reception staff when to great trouble to settle us into a room of our choice early that morning, which was much appreciated. We did not have a suite but our room...

The photos on their site are mainly of suites, mine was room for single occupancy and did not have such great views, but otherwise the place is nice and tidy, with friendly staff. The only other thing is very loud doors, so when someone would close a door on your floor you will hear it very very well. I had...

Loved this hotel, the decor was fantastic, the view one of the best. We booked the Bosphorus suite, which wasn't cheap, but was worth every penny as the view was breath taking. We watched the sun come up over the mosque which was beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants located close by and some of the main beautiful attractions of...

We ended up getting to know two front desk staff pretty well--Mahmet and Abdullah. They had much info and suggestions and helped us set up things we wanted to do. We sensed a genuine concern on their part that we have a good exposure to Istanbul. But the clincher was when Mahmet helped me find and get to/from a doc-in-the-box...

The manager and the team accomdated to our needs and would come to our rooms within 1 minute of us needing something such as toilet roll and extra pillows etc....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
