Hotel Sultania delights guests with its spotless premises and attentive daily room service, although a few suggest there's room for enhancement. Its cultural vibrancy and Ottoman-inspired themed rooms are frequently lauded for merging comfort with charm. Nestled in a prime, safe location, the hotel grants effortless access to local attractions.
The staff's exceptional service garners high praise, enhancing the stay for many. While the hotel's amenities, including pools and rooftop dining, satisfy most, guests also appreciate the value offered. However, the allure of the quaint rooms is occasionally dimmed by concerns over size and noise.

A small and comfortable hotel in the very historical center of Istanbul. The most important attractions are 10-15 minutes on foot. A clean, fresh hotel with a pleasant interior, very comfortable mattresses and combined lighting that you can adjust to any brightness. Upon arrival, you find in the room several small notes of greetings and polite recommendations, so nice)) Very good bed linen and soft towels in sufficient quantity. Cosmetics are poured into the bathroom from the heart. The only thing was that the rain shower didn’t work, or I couldn’t find how to turn it on, but the regular wall shower worked. Blackout curtains. The room also includes some very necessary things: open Wi-Fi, safe, iron and board, hairdryer, kettle with tea, mini-fridge, bottled water daily. Breakfast is delicious and from 7-11 am. The staff is very friendly, one of the hotel managers speaks Russian. Very kind and helpful, regarding our question regarding historical hammams, she immediately contacted us by phone and clarified our questions. On the -1st floor there is a small indoor pool, a gym and a small Jacuzzi pool, which just saved me from overwork with excursions a couple of times. As well as additional paid services, hammam and massage. In the pool they provide additional towels and slippers, although pool caps are required and paid for. There is a restaurant opposite the hotel, it can be a little noisy, we go to bed late and it didn’t bother us, but if you go to bed early, ask for a room with windows facing the courtyard. We are very grateful to the hotel that upon check-out they allowed us to leave our luggage in storage for 8 hours before departure while we walked around the city and waited for the transfer. Only pleasant impressions!

Another trip to Istanbul, and when choosing a hotel, we chose the Sultania Hotel. We got to the hotel by transfer, they met us and helped us with our luggage. We quickly went through all the formalities with the English-speaking manager, but it should be noted that almost immediately we were joined by the guest relations manager Julia, who speaks excellent Russian and subsequently always competently and professionally provided explanations to any questions! Many thanks to her for such attention! The hotel is located in a picturesque historical place of Istanbul, any historical places are within walking distance. There is a tram stop nearby, which allowed us to move freely with minimal costs (thanks to Julia for the tip). On Julia’s advice, we also mastered the metro, which also contributed to our longer journey through shopping and historical places. Room cleaning is done daily and efficiently. Breakfast is very decent, and from 14:00 to 16:00 you can have a free snack in the hotel restaurant - light sandwiches, sweets, tea, coffee. There are a lot of cafes around, but we really liked the cafe located right outside the hotel. The cuisine and prices in all cafes in the area are approximately the same.

Great location. Very friendly, highly qualified reception staff. I would especially like to note the help of Russian-speaking Julia, who answered all our questions in detail. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly and all toiletries are replenished daily by the maid. Very good breakfasts. There are portioned fried eggs on an individual frying pan, Turkish eggs, porridge with fruit for those who like it. The pastries are varied, small in size, which is convenient - you can try several types. The atmosphere at breakfast is cozy and the service is fast. The layout of the room is somewhat unusual; at first I was confused by the sink in the room, but you quickly get used to it and don’t pay attention, especially since you don’t come to Istanbul to sit in the room.

The hotel is very centrally located and the main attractions in Istanbul are within walking distance. The breakfast buffet is excellent, there is something for everyone here. However, adding the food is a bit difficult. There are no rolls left, very little cheese and the excellent desserts can almost always only be counted on one hand. It works well if you have breakfast just after 7am, things get difficult after 10am. The “Olive” restaurant with a view of the city and the Bosphorus is highly recommended, very attentive and friendly waiters and sophisticated cuisine. The rooms are all different. We had a deluxe room on the 2nd floor, size was fine, with a sofa, which was very good. The beds were comfortable. What took a lot of getting used to for us were the shower and toilet. The sink was in the room. The bathroom was only separated from the room by a glass door, which also had to be pivoted between the shower and the toilet. So if one person was showering, the other person basically had the toilet in the room without a door. You really have to want that. Since the door was made of glass, the room was lit up at night. This circumstance has already limited the quality of the room for me. The beds were made every day, but very differently, sometimes very well, sometimes the sheets weren't straightened at all and only the duvet was stuffed tight. I didn't expect that in a hotel like this.

My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous week at Hotel Sultania. Many reviews have stated how wonderful the staff are, I agree they are so helpful nothing is too much trouble. Guest relations Diva is a treasure, to hear her switch between languages as she converses with the varied guests is a marvel, she informed me when asked she speaks seven languages, a wonderful guest relation. The hotel is in a cobbled street with bars, restaurants, and shops in a busy area but not noisy, we slept very well. You are within walking distance to several must-see sights. We had breakfast which we both enjoyed and set us up for the day and the view is fantastic even better at night, my husband became a lover of Turkish tea and brought some back and drinks it daily. They do a complimentary afternoon tea in the hotel between 14:00 and 16:00 which we enjoyed a couple of days during our stay. I can recommend room service if you are too tired after a long day, and the restaurant the food was enjoyable, plentiful, and reasonably priced. The pool was a tad cold, but you soon forgot that. The room was compact, and the carpet needed an update, but it was clean, with water delivered daily. I dropped a pen which rolled under the bed, my husband retrieved it and saw a note stating (Yes, We Clean under here too) we thought that was so funny also testament to the cleanliness of the room. A Hugh Thank You to all the staff at Sultania everyone from reception, housekeeping, restaurant, and Spa deserve praise, I cannot remember everyone names but Murat Bey, Yusuf, and Diva we hope to see you again when we return to Istanbul.

The hotel for the trip was selected based on a convenient location, so that you could walk more to the sights without transport and have a good breakfast. Sultaniya very much corresponds to such requests. To Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, park - 5 minutes leisurely. You can walk to the Sulimaniye Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and the Egyptian Bazaar in 20-25 minutes. Breakfast is very good, in addition to the buffet you can order omelettes, pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs from the menu - which is important given the high prices of Istanbul. The rooms are old but cozy. The only thing I didn’t like was the lighting, there were a lot of lights, but there was no main lighting, it was dark in the room. The staff are friendly. A beautiful Russian-speaking girl named Julia works at the hotel. She will help with any questions and tell you how to get to certain places. I will recommend the hotel to my friends for a trip to Istanbul.

Overall a very good small hotel in the historical center of Istanbul. The advantage of the hotel's location is that all the main attractions can be reached on foot - this makes life much easier. You can get some sleep and in light mode take a walk to the Basilica Cistern, for example, and get there before huge queues form. Another plus, in my subjective opinion, is a powerful hairdryer in the room (this is important for girls), very cozy Ottoman-style rooms (+ for those who love authenticity) and absolute cleanliness in every corner of the hotel!

We had two rooms for four nights. The hotel is in an excellent location in the centre of the historical old town, within walking distance of all the main sights. It is surrounded by numerous cafes, restaurants and bars in a largely pedestrian area. The rooms are nicely finished, with daily maid service, two bottles of water each day, minibar, kettle, hairdryer. Our only criticism would be that the aircon in one of our rooms was very poor, but was fine in the other. Best to check before unpacking. If your room rate doesn't include breakfast, we would recommend having it in the hotel, as it is good value, with a wide range of buffet and freshly-prepared options, attentive service and pleasant environment.

I stayed at Hotel Sultania for 6 nights during my first trip to Istanbul. The level of service at this hotel for the price you pay is extraordinary. They will go above and beyond to help you with everything. It has an amazing location within short walking distance to Topkapi palace, Basilica cistern, Grand Bazaar/Spice Bazaar, Archaeological museums, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, with a tram stop 50m away for easy access to new city. The rooms are comfortable with great air conditioning and strong WiFi. Food is great at the cafe, the rooftop restaurant Olive, and the restaurant right across the street. Huge thanks to Hasan at the front desk who helped me to arrange taxis around the city and airport transfers and literally everything else I needed, even in the middle of the night--you would have to pay $500+ a night to get service like this in the US.

The hotel is very cozy, boutique. The location is great - many important objects can be easily reached on foot. Each room in the hotel has its own name - it is dedicated to one or another other half of the Sultan. We had a number named after Bezmialem, the Sultan’s companion with a very difficult fate. In general, there is a reason to delve into history. We checked in at night and they were waiting for us. Upon check-in, we were told everything in detail about the room and services. I was glad that they immediately gave me a map of Istanbul with the hotel marked on it. A small thing, but nice. A special ode to breakfast. We make our own salads from the list of vegetables and herbs that are offered. Olives and cheeses are a song. Decent soups. Who would have thought that soup for breakfast is not bad manners at all. Good selection of pastries, always fresh fruit. If the desire arises, they will make oatmeal, omelet, pancakes. They also talked about using the hammam, but alas, time simply did not allow it. The staff is very friendly, there are probably no questions. which would not be answered. Special thanks to Yulia, who speaks several languages - she will ask how your day was, ask about your impressions of Istanbul, and, if necessary, give recommendations on places to visit and how to get there. We can safely say about the hotel - it has its own “face”.
