Stayed at the Raymond hotel for three nights. Great location to visit the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace as is all within 10 minute walking distance. Good sheesha in the nearby cafes although food was very average. Didn't try the hotel restaurant.

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

Hi, we did not request any specific rooms when we made our reservation so I'm not sure. I suggest you contact the hotel by email and ask. Unfortunately I don't remember the room numbers we were in but my room was a double on the 5th floor and faced the roof top terrace. The room was bigger but had sloped ceilings. Was very quiet so ask for rooms that face this side. I would avoid the rooms that face the "restaurant" side of the building. Hope this helps a little.
