Sevila Hotel is perfectly located, it's within 2 mins walk from Sultanahmed. Pluses of the hotel: + location + good view + price + friendly staff + comfortable beds Minuses of the hotel: - small rooms - room service - cleaning - breakfast - thin walls A good choice if you just plan to sleep in the room. For me...

Very good location, staff is friendly but the room is small, not that clean and moist.. The breakfast is quit simple, but not that bad.. The hotel offer airport shuttle, the cheapest we found in town.....................................................

First of all can I just say this is a budget hotel and charges budget prices in a very central city location. We stayed here in September as part of our tour of turkey. We booked the room from the UK and had read all the reviews so we did not expect the four seasons. The hotel location was perfect...

As soon as we got there the charm and kindness of Önder and his cousin made us feel like if we were home. They prepared a daily home made breakfast and helped us with everything we needed. The views from the terrace are just stunning. If i had to recommend a place in SultanAhmet, I defo would this one.

Let me start with the positive things. The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic. A block away from the Sultanahmet tram station and a 5 minute walk from the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. The view from the roof terras, which is also the breakfast room, is amazing. Though not unique. Many of the hotels and restaurants in...

First of all let me tell you the staff and location of this hotel are perfect. The reception staff couldnt have been more helpful and seemed eager to assist. The location and views from the roof terrace are picture perfect, very handy base for exploring the city. However, the standard of the rooms could not have been worse. I have...

Our toilet leaked on the floor when you flush it, so we had to clean the floor every time. We asked for it to be repaired which took 2 days, even then it still leaked. The rooms are a joke, enough room for a single bed but still they managed to get two in. Breakfast is terrible, cereals left out...

Tiny rooms, which I think are typical of hotels in most old cities in Europe, but not so much an issue since we were out all day anyway. 2 minute walk to tramline to airport, Galata, Taksim. Max ten minute walk to Sultanahmet attractions - Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Hagia Sofiya, Grand Bazaar. Very friendly & helpful staff.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had! DO NOT GO THERE!! Booked in Jan for stay in May 2013. When we got to the hotel, they had given our reservation to someone else. We were told we could go elsewhere if we wished, but after a long flight, tired and hungry, we settled for a basement room with a double bed...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
