We had a layover night in this hostel, where we found it quite unique and hip. Alsilo had few drinks down at the bar. Staff were very warm and kind, but the best part absolutely the open-buffet breakfast! Would be happy to come back

the hostel is at very good location in the heart of Istanbul. it also offered a very delicious breakfast every day which was a big plus as well. one of the drawbacks is that it has no elevator but it was fine, not a big deal.

The position is perfect to move around Istanbul, close to the new central area. Museums, shops and clubs nearby. The hosts are cool and easygoing, always ready to help. A Little bit too noisy but I would recommend it

The place was dingy, but the room was clean. The folks running it were very nice. You may have to climb 4 levels of rotating stairs to get to some rooms. The Wi-Fi worked well. The area is a bit seedy at night, but definitely lively and an easy walk to Taksim.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
