Great location in the heart of old town. The room was clean and simple with GREAT water pressure for warm showers after cool days outside. The staff was very willing to share their knowledge about the city and country. Good bargain for ease of viewing tourist sights.

We had a great time, the price was excellent, the staff was fantastic, and the next time we are in Istanbul...

We booked this hotel based on recommendations on tripadvisor. Everything was as advertised from accommodations, excellent location and very attentive service. Will not repeat prior reviews statements other than to agree that lower floor is better for those who have difficulty climbing stairs and courtyard facing is quieter especially early morning call to prayer (not really a big deal). Would...

Checking in was fast. Mustafa was really friendly and thoughtful. As a first time visitor to Istanbul, Mustafa sat with me and went thru the dos and don'ts in Istanbul. The hotel location is superb. It is walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and Sultanahmet tram station. Highly recommended for solo and family travelers.

I was really impressed by the hotel location. Furthermore Kader and Ismail went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their recommendations for places to visit and tours were fantastic. The hotel's location meant all the main historic sites were within walking distance and the choices for places to eat were many. Definitely recommend the Senatus...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
