I was here on business and this is a business hotel, no doubt about it. It simply performed a function. The bed was comfortable, although for two people would have been very small, the bathroom was large and well lit and the shower was powerful. That said, it drained very slowly which was annoying. Breakfast was extensive and in quite...

They screwed up my reservation completely. The lighting is terrible. There is like a dozen of light switches all over the room and there is no way to find the right one. On top of it the lights in the room do not work. I complained about it but they could not fix it and I ended up using my...

The rooms in this hotel were wonderful. I loved the shower and bathroom and the beds were comfortable. They also kept the rooms clean. The included breakfast was also pretty good although it did get pretty boring after almost a week there but it did have a nice selection. It is on the opposite side of all the main attractions...

Just beware as they charge you for tea bags (4TL) and instant coffee sachets in your room - even though they are not on the mini bar price list - and they don't tell you! Other mini bar prices are also a bit outrageous (9 Euros for a small whisky). The rooms now smell of stale cigarette smoke - they...

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
