We arrived at this hotel as the one we booked was not close to what we reserved on the site and had to change it immediately. All other hotels in the area were fully booked. We took a triple room (actually a double room with an extra single bed) and a standard double room, for 60 euro each. The price...

We loved Istanbul but not the hotel... Suppose to have wifi in the room, it NEVER works. Even in the lobby it was on and off all the time. After many complain, the staff still didn't cared about it... We have been there 7 night and wifi never works correctly... Very small bathroom with no curtain shower, so it's all...

Really helpful, friendly staff. The Staff went way out of there way to help. Nice, fresh Turkish breakfast on a terrace with a nice view. About 5 minutes walking to Blue Mosque ect. on a relatively quiet street. Clean rooms, hot water. Incredibly beautiful Gorgian chefs making Turk Khave and breakfast! Thanks Monkeys! We spent 3 nighs at the 'Sirma Sultan' and had a wonderful experience. The staff was probably the highlight, they were very friendly and helpful and there to do what they could for us any time of day. The location is also fantastic, it is easy to walk to majority of the main tourist spots and the tram is an...

Hotel was a good location in the old city of Istanbul. 10 min walk to Blue Mosque, tram station and hajia sofia and other tourist spots. Staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Rooms were decent, bathroom a bit musty smelling with poor ventilation, but overall the rooms were clean. Breakfast was OK, but included in the room rate. Great value...

We spent 6 nights in the Sirma Sultan and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff could not have been more welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived our room was located downstairs next to a family and we mentioned that it was noisy, as a result of this we were moved to another room the next night which...

The hotel is not your typical 5 star hotel..but it feels like it.. the staff (Burcin, Roberto and Yusuf) became our friends. Also, its just 5-10 minutes walk to the blue mosque, hagia sophia and most tourist destinations. My friends and I felt at home during our stay in this hotel.. The room is clean, breakfast is ok, just Perfect!...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
