We went there with friends to explore the city and enjoy our time together. This hotel is great for a bigger group! Service was very helpful and the room spacious, clean and nicely decored. Location is perfect, Galata area and Istiklal just few steps away. Many good restaurants nearby. You can always get a cab just outside the hotel. Also...

After 12 days of running around Turkey, we saved Istanbul for last and spent 5 nights at Galata Flats. A completely welcome place to stay - they have a washer/dryer and otherwise fully equipped apartment that's ideal whether or not you end up using the kitchen much. It's clean, bright and modern. We had a bedroom that was somewhat on...

Excellent place for visiting Istanbul either for business or with family, with great service and large, comfortable rooms and smart kitchen facilities. Very well located just a short walk from Istikal street and in the trendy Tunel neighbourhood with good restaurants just a few steps away. Galata bridge is also just a walk down the hill. Staff very helpful with...

Galata Flats is situated in the vibrant neighbourhood of Tünel, with a lot of shops, cafés and restaurants. The Tünel subway and the nostalgic tramway is within short walking distance and it is very conveniant to get to the historic peninsula, without actually having to stay there. The building is an old one that has been recently refurbished. There is...

We went to Istanbul to celebrate our friends bachelorette party. We were seven girls that shared the flat, and it was just perfect!! Cevdet was the nicest host you can have and the guys in the reception were just so helpful and kind! They were ready to help and answers questions at any time of the day. The flat is...

Our two bedroom, two bath flat, with a view of Galata Tower, was spotless, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The 24-hour desk staff spoke English very well and were extremely helpful with suggestions, directions, etc. Wifi in the apartment worked perfectly, and there is a telephone for local calls. We hope to get back to Istanbul in a year or...

If you are looking for space, well the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment we booked last week of August offered that. That's about it! The promised internet was seldom available.. The TV doesn't work, the washer/dryer will ruin your clothes, the carpet in the second bedroom is filthy. There was no computer or printer for guests to use at the...

Absolutely recommended, best quality-for-money flat. In the heart of Istanbul but at the same time far from major noise and traffic. The staff and management are extremely pleasant and creative, getting out of their normal duties to accommodate our needs. My 3 year old daughter and myself felt save and taken care off at all times. Structure of the apartment...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

“The largest (3 bedrooms) appartment is on the third floor and has a narrow terrace. Only one or two of the terraces seems to have a terrace large enough for a dining table, so check with the staff before booking, if that is what you want.”
