My 18 year old daughter and I spent three nights at the Galata Flats in May. The apartment was very large, light and clean with modern furnishings. It was an incredible place to be based in Istanbul. The 24 hour staff was very helpful and, as two women travelling alone, we felt very safe. I woudl highly recommend this as...

We spent 6 nights at the Galata Flats and had a wonderful experience. The apartment looked exactly as pictured on their website. It has been completely remodeled, the fixtures and appliances are new and of very good quality and the internet is fast. We loved the location. It felt very safe and we walked to great nearby restaurants every night....

This hotel is In a great location. It is just steps from the major walking area in Istanbul which is filled with restaurants and shops. It has public transportation less than 100 feet from the front door. Rooms are nice with all of the necessities rather you are staying a week or a month. My only complaint is the noise,...

Just leaving Istanbul after 3 days stay in this stylish affordable apartment. If you like a bit more space when you travel and prefer living with the locals than fighting your way through tour groups then this is the place for you. We shared a 2 bedroom apartment with another couple and with our 19 year old daughter in the...

The location is great close to Tunel and the metro stop. We had the corner room so some noise during the night from the cafe over the road. Staff were really helpful and obliging. Would have been useful to have some written info in the apartment eg how to use washing machine, safe etc. The apartment was well fitted out,...

We spent six days in Galataflats. The apartment was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely furnished. The service was excellent, the staff friendly. We felt welcome and always pleased to return 'home'. The location was perfect for exploring the city. A few steps away from the Tunel- train to the Galatabridge, the metro to the Taksim square,...

Me and my 6 friends, we have stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment with terrace on 4th floor. It was just too good to be true! Bedrooms were wall separated which really was great for privacy and full kitchen, new appliances, a micro, stove oven, more cooking utensils than my own home were also excellent! One of us slept on...

My daughter and I spent five nights in a beautiful spacious apartment at Galata Flats. It was the perfect location and most enjoyable as a clean and quiet retreat. It is just a block away from the funicular and all the restaurants and retail of the European side -- super easy to find places to eat and explore. The apartment...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

“Only some rooms have balconies/outdoor space. Ours did not, but the windows open. We were only on the second floor, yet had no issues with noise - it's really well sound-proofed.”

“The largest (3 bedrooms) appartment is on the third floor and has a narrow terrace. Only one or two of the terraces seems to have a terrace large enough for a dining table, so check with the staff before booking, if that is what you want.”
