First, let’s get the negatives out of the way.... the rooms are small (but very functional...) On the positive side of things this hotel is an undiscovered gem. It’s all about location, location, location and the Amethyst is a stone’s throw from the Metro, Tram and within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Süleymaniye Mosque and the Grand...

Stayed for 4 nights with one other adult in the room. We each had a medium size suitcase we could not empty or place out of the way. The room was clean and pleasant but the noise from the tv in the neighbors room was annoying if it was on. The heat was on at all times. You cannot regulate...

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Nice room. Only me so roomy enough. Some mixup re my room which they quickly resolved. Room 405. A nice view up the street and across to a small museum. The TV was set behind a glass mirror.Very modern. Shower was good. All the usual toiletries supplied. Bed was kingsize. A little firm...

My husband & I recently enjoyed a few days staying at the Amethyst. We found it convenient to the tramway, which took us to most of the downtown tourist attractions - Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, the Basilica Cistern as well as the Kabatas and Eminonou ferries and more. The pool is great. Its in a cavern in the basement. Massages...

I read mixed reviews about this place and so was a little apprehensive; however, overall this was a good hotel as far as the facilities go. Service was a mixed experience - reception was friendly enough but door staff seemed bored by the idea of assisting our elderly companions with moving the luggage from the street to the reception area....

Located in Beyazit area 10-15 min to grand bazaar. Breakfast is poor in particular if you on diet or diabetic. Very expensive for quality and service you get. I will not return. Very noisy. If you like to shop is near Lale so there are a lot of textile factory near by.

Well located with walking access to the main street and the very efficient trams. Our double room was a tad small but as we were out in the city mot of the time this was not a major bother. Wi-fi available and always accessible. The pool is great and there are spa facilities offering treatments which seemed rather over-priced compared...

We stayed 4 nights in Sep 2011 at this hotel. The hotel was newly decorated and furniture and fixtures were new. With new furniture the rooms look nice; however, the rooms are extremely small in this hotel. We checked few other rooms after check in and all of them appeared to be of same size. The double bed was very...
