Good hotel, amazing brakfast in terrace 5th floor, nice location... just 5 mins walk to Blue Mosque, lots of restaurants around less 2 mins walking, good service. Just 2 black dots: No safety box (but they will take care of your stuff in the front desk's safety) and in our arrival bathroom was dirty... but usable!! Mini bar... fridge, tea...

Friendly staff, very good location and price. There was a strange odor persistent in the room, just like the one you find in a very old house, but we got used to it quickly. Other than that, the room was clean, services ok and the breakfast enjoyable.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ayasultan for 3 nights in October. At first we were pretty disappointed with the view in our room, since it looked out into a shaft between the hotel and the building beside it. We asked for a room change but they could only move us on our last night. The actual room however,...

There are two rooms, a breakfast restaurant on the 5th floor. We stayed in room double room on the 5th floor. We can just see buildings during demolition outside the window of the room. The amenity goods, there were slippers, shampoo, and conditioner. There was also a hairdryer. I only have one night in added, but the staff told me...

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of October. The hotel location cannot be beat, a few steps from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Also close to the Grand Bazaar. The rooms are well decorated, modern and very clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast, taken of the top floor with a nice view of Hagia...

This hotel had a great location, it was clean and the staff were great. I found it to be really noisy, the air-conditioning was really cold and could only go on for a short periods at a time. The hotel it self was overall great, but, next door they had roosters crowing at 2:30am and the a dog barking continuously...

I recently spent 4 nights at this hotel that had been booked by my travel agency in Turkey. My room was reasonable in size and very clean but had no proper window, just a small glassed area that looked out onto a dirty cavern between the building. The bathroom was small with no bench space and a very noisy fan....

The Ayasultan is a very nice, clean property located right where you want to be for the major tourist attractions of the city. Before and during our stay, the staff was first rate. By e-mail, they arranged for a private driver to pick us up at the airport and take us directly to the hotel through some horrible traffic. At...

Excellent location. Good breakfast. We had asked for a clean, comfortable triple room with a good view, but were given one (307) with no view (there was another old building at a distance of 1 meter from the window). The room was lacking basic things, like a safe-box, a chair and sufficient table-space. It had only one nightstand for three...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
