We stayed here for 2 nights for a bargain price of $120 total so we are not complaining at all. If we paid more we would expect more. Location is great. Room is clean. But that is it. It is 3 stars travel. Other than that the place needs a major facelift and to pay attention to details. Breakfast is...

There is no question to were I shall stay next time I'm in Istanbul it will be here. What a place! The location is excellent just a couple of minutes walk to most places or the trams. When we arrived Ercument Sinar was more than helpful, we really couldn't ask for a better manager. Nothing was an issue and I'm...

After many visits to Istanbul I have finally found a hotel that I would like to return to & would have no hesitation in recommending. Albinas is in an excellent location for exploring the sights of Sultanahmet. For such a reasonably priced hotel I was pleasantly surprised to find tea/coffee making facilities, fridge & in-room safe. There is no bar...

It was my first 5 days in Istanbul. The trip was a last minute add-on to another trip so I didn't have much chance to scope out the city. The staff did an amazing job of finding the activity (boat tours, museum tickets, etc), and restaurants to fit my needs. Conversations with the staff flowed freely and what they suggested...

Albinas Hotel was the first place we stayed for our honeymoon to Turkey. We had seen great reviews online, so we decided to give it a try. Initially it was a little difficult to find the place as we walked from the tram station, but when we found the place tucked away right behind the Blue Mosque, we knew this...

All the staff treat you like royalty. Nothing is too much trouble. I would not stay anywhere else in the city having experienced other hotels nearby that do not have the same feeling about customer service

The Albinas is reasonably priced in a superb location for walking around and exploring the Sultanahmet region of Istanbul. The hotel is clean, the staff are pleasant and more than happy to help arrange shuttles and provide information and helpful hints on what to do. The breakfast buffet is huge with a nice variety of both local and more typical...

Albinas Hotel was booked off Trip Adviser and people had, had positive experiences there before. I think with me it was a combination of things that resulted in the decision to move out. I stayed there the night between the end of my ANZAC Tour, (as you can imagine I was buggered, both physically and mentally drained) and my three...

The team took good care, arranging a cab to meet me at the airport post-midnight (arranged by email). Large breakfast spread. convenient location (went jogging by major sites in AM before they opened). welcoming service. I had a choice of two rooms that were left. I chose the smaller one with a view of part of the blue mosque. There's...

We only stayed here for one night and I was the one who chose this hotel, because the photos of the hotel looked amazing online and because it is in such a good location. Everything in the old city is just minutes away. I was slightly disappointed with the decor and with the facilities but the staff of the hotel...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
