This hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from The Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, plus all the other historical monuments and museums. It is very near the tram stops, purchase an Istanbul card, and travel by tram to the spice market, plus the grand bazzar, and other interesting places in Istanbul. The beautiful parks and coloured fountains at night. The...

Check in was efficient.. 24 reception. Price was great. Bed was cleanish. . Although some stains and smoke smell. A bit noisey.. we wore earplugs all night. Breakfast was simple. All in all great location and can't beat the price if you're on a budget.

The perks of this place is that it is in a good central location and it was reasonably priced. On arrival the guy at reception was helpful and friendly. Once we got to our room though things took a turn. The room had a very stale smell to it and the bedding did not seem clean but we thought it's...

At Sultan, you will get what you pay for. It is a basic Hotel with good rates including WIFI connection and breakfast. Even if its not the royal one but it looks like its more a typical Turkish one. The good thing about this hotel is the clean rooms and also the ideal location close to many Attractions (Blue mosque,...

From Constantine (Algeria), we (my husband and me) spent 8 days (from 28/10 to 05/11/2013) in this hotel "Sultan". It is a clean hotel with decent staff (especially me as it heats the milk in the morning) and well located .. thank you to you.

I arrived in Istanbul 11:00 and was rushed to find a hotel, through Booking.com I checked 3 hotels which I thought suited me personaly but they were booked out and then I came across Hotel Sultan which was available and boasted top location to the major sites of the city,...

Hotel Sultan -- Istanbul A good review, a bad review, or no review at all, this hotel will always have a clientele because of its location and its room rates. Whether it will have a ‘returnee clientele’ -- or whether a ‘returnee clientele’ is even important -- is another matter. The hotel’s ‘pros’ are as follows: Location This hotel is...

I checked-in at this small hotel last 5th-9th Sep. 2012. Hotel is very near to a tram station which is very good. It is also near to the major landmarks of Istanbul like Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The hotel lacks adequate lightings as it was quite dark. Breakfast was not that good though acceptable. Water hose in their...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
