Hi,

I was a solo woman traveller in Istanbul from India for a conference. I stayed in PlusSuite hotel in end of the June-2013. I liked the hotel and staff very much and would like to give my review as follows :

Location - Very near to Taksim Square but still situated at a quite peaceful location. One will take maximum 7-8 minutes to reach at Taksim Square. Taksim is the place where you can get on Metro and Tram to visit other places of the city. Despite quite close to Taksim the hotel is situated in such a way which will save you from all the hustle bustle of streets and tourist crowd around Taksim. I guess one of the best locations you can look for around Taksim.

Cleanliness - I don't think you can ask for cleaner room or bathroom than what you get here. Hotel staff is very diligent and punctual when it comes to cleaning. They do their job with a great perfection. Room and bathrooms were cleaned everyday and towels etc were also replaced every day. Like most of the people cleanliness and hygiene is one of my highest priorities and you don't have to worry about it at all if you are staying in Plus Suite.

Staff - Very friendly, very helpful. It is simply very nice to see when you come across such a cordial and generous staff. Be it chef, room cleaner or anybody from the staff, they will always pass a genuine and sweet smile to you which can make your day early in the morning. It feels that they really love their job and love serving you.

Breakfast- Quite healthy and nutritious. You will get everything- milk, coffee, tea, cornflakes, fresh fruits, dry fruits, bread, butter, yogurt and many more in their breakfast buffet. I was a strict vegetarian but still I didn't have any problem at starting my day with a healthy breakfast. And here also everything is very clean and served with a great hygiene. The ones who are looking for typical Turkish dishes, they should I guess go out and taste it from local streets. Any kind of hotel is not the place to taste the local food, be it any country.

Overall I would say I had a great experience at Plus Suite. I stayed in room no. 204 which was an economical room for one person and very calm. You will always feel safe and assured staying here. It is a small hotel but assuring all the facilities (Self controlled AC, fast Wi-fi, electric kettle, fridge, safe, tea-coffee sachets, mineral water etc) and professionalism like a big swanky and professionally managed hotel. I really thank Adam, other managers and all the staff at Plus Suite who were so helpful, be it complimentary transfer from/to airport, local information, currency exchange and everything. I don't think you can ask for more at such a great location with a very reasonable charges. If I am in Istanbul again I would certainly stay in Plus Suite again but may be in a different room as I found bathroom a bit small in my room (specially shower area).

So in nutshell I would highly recommend Plus Suite Hotel if you are visiting a great city called Istanbul !!

This was my second time at the Plussuite and I can say just as great as the first. The staff are welcoming, the cleanliness of the was very good except for some black mold in the shower(bleach?), and the best aspect is the great location 2 minutes walking to Taksim Square and the livliness of Istikal Street. Both visits we stayed in the penthouse room on the top floor with a cute patio and table and chairs. When I am in Istanbul again, I will definitely choose Plussuite again.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at this hotel. Hotel located at 3-4 mins walking distant to Taksim Square leading to the beautiful shopping district of Istiklal Avenue. The metro available at Taksim Square will take you to other tourist attractions. The rooms are spacious enough and clean. The rooms are provided with all the amenities and the Wifi works just fine. I simply loved the décor of the rooms , they were of fine taste. The washrooms were clean and housekeeping did a good job of changing the towels daily. If you want a view, ask for the street facing rooms, after the days outing we were tired enough to even look out of the window. The breakfast was elaborate with a wide selection of menu to choose from. Though the breakfast area was small with no windows it was not suffocating. The staff helped us with the map indicating the places to visit and how to get there. The neighborhood was safe and full of other hotels hence reaching the hotel a little late in the night was not a problem. Grocery stores are located at stones throw away. Having said that I found all the hotels unreasonably pricey in Istanbul. Taking into account all the positives I would certainly return to this hotel on my next trip to Istanbul.

I would like to thank every member of the staff for being so helpful and friendly, Mohammed, Tolga, George, and especially Adam bek (the manager) who was so attentive to our needs and gave us comprehensive guidance on directions and travel tips. He even offered his personal transportation card for us to use. We are also greatful for the room upgrade (to penthouse with balcony) and the complimentary airport pick up service provided by the hotel.
We were a group of 4 women and we felt completely safe, comfortable and at home during our stay at this cozy hotel.
We strongly recommend this hotel for anyone who wishes to stay at Taksim area, and we would definetly stay here on our next visit.

Very clean, small and recent hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, very clean. The staff is really sweet. The breakfast could be slightly improved, but it's OK.

Handy location: 5 minutes walk from/to Taksim Square. Very quiet street, with almost no traffic, and a friendly neighborhood. It's definitely an up and coming area, with many new and renovated small hotels along the street. Close to the hotel you will find small supermarkets, and just around the corner, a friendly barber (Mr. Sami).

Summary: excellent choice and price/quality relationship, in a good central location, but away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds.

Stayed with a group of friends for 5 nights. We have never had a warmer welcome, or a more personal and thoughtful service, and this continued throughout our stay. Rooms were lovely, bathrobes, slippers, tea and coffee supplies, free bottled water all made a difference too. The shower was excellent.
The breakfast was tasty and varied .
A little bit off the beaten track, but in a very hectic and noisy city it was great to get back the calm oasis of the hotel.
My only tip - if you are not a keen walker - would be to make sure that you have a supply of tokens or "jetons" for the metro and furnicular which are about 5 minutes walk away in Taksim Square.
We would definitely stay here again, and were really pleased that our original booking at a hotel in Sultanhamet was cancelled!

We stayed here for 5 nights in May and it was perfect for what we wanted: proximity to Taksim, simple/clean/spacious rooms. We spent most of our time outside of our room, but as you will appreciate, a clean room with a great shower is all you really need to recharge for your next day of touring. The included breakfast is simple but sufficient to start your day. The staff (especially the bald gentleman with lots of tattoos, sorry we didn't catch his name) were very knowledgeable and helped us get started on the right foot each day and helped make dinner reservations each night. The hotel is walking distance to the Taksim metro and Iskital street, but not too close that any of the noise keeps you up. Our only recommendation would be to bring your own toiletries (bar soap, conditioner, etc.).

A hidden Gem, this hotel is more like a Boutique Hostel, with such a great decoration and they make sure you are very comfortable. Located in Taksim (modern part of Istanbul with nightlife close to it), walking distance 8-10 minutes from Taksim square, very well decorated big room with nice bed, very nice bathroom, good breakfast and the guys at the front desk are very helpful and nice. Very much recommended and extremely good value for the money

My husband and I stayed in the Plussuite hotel on October 2015 for a week and let me tell you that it was amazing! We enjoyed our stay so much.
We booked our room through the discount offer at booking.com and there were no problem with our booking; when we arrived, our room was ready for us.
Our room was a small and cozy room, but it was VERY clean (my first priority in choosing a hotel was its cleanliness). Internet access was okay, beds were comfortable and clean, bathroom was a little small, but it was very neat and clean too. And there were plenty of closets to put our stuff in. Television, refrigerator and phone were available in the room too.
The hotel was 5min walk away from Taksim sq. It was in a quiet alley and we didn't face any problem related to annoying noise or anything. There were also a good supermarket on the corner of alley which were open 24/7.
Probably after the cleanliness of the hotel, its major positive point was its wonderful staff! They were polite, kind and helping! Most of them know an acceptable amount of English, and they were available and ready to help at any time of the day/night. They would do anything to make you feel home! Especially the lady in the kitchen, she doesn't know much English, but try her best to provide you anything you want :) I love her :)

Sorry for the long review! Anyway, I highly recommend this hotel! It is worth staying, especially comparing to its price!

"Best part of the hotel is its location. It is just 100-200 mts from Taksim square and Istiklal street. The Havatas shuttle stop near Point hotel too is very closeby. The location of the hotel will allow easy transportation by either Bus, tram or metro to any part of Istanbul."
