Words cannot begin to describe what an amazing experience it was for me and my parents to stay at the Shining Star Hotel. The General Manager, front desk staff, and everyone here welcomed us and treated us with not only the utmost respect, but they constantly made sure we were comfortable, taken care of, and that every want we had was immediately met. I want to make a special mention of Yusuf, who works the night shift, and who also became aa new friend. We can’t wait to return to Istambul and stay at this amazing property!

From the very first day we arrived until we checked out two weeks later, the staff at this hotel, from the general manager to the desk clerks treated us with extreme courtesy. We felt, after a visit to another part of Turkey for a few days, that we were returning home. They were helpful in recommending places to visit as well as various types of restaurants; and they made the reservations for us as well. The services provided were always done to our expectations. The rooms were well appointed and clean. The breakfasts offered a variety of options. The hotel was situated within walking distance to many of the sites we wanted to visit or the hotel was close to the metro station. Hats off to Serhat, Agit, Jusuf, Ercan, Nayay, Surya and the general manager who made our stay so enjoyable. My apologies to other staff whose names I do not remember. We had friends who also stayed here and were pleased with the service. I will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to my fry. Well done!!

I stayed for 3 nights. All hotel staff are very friendly. The location is very good, I can walk to Hagia Sophia & Blue Mosque in 7 minutes. It’s si easy to find restaurants / cafes near hotel. I can also easily walk to tram station and Grand Bazaar. The room size is quite decent with view to the street. I arrived early morning, the hotel offer me with free breakfast! I am impressed with the service from receptionist : Surya, Serhat, and Gil (lovely lady). They are really good trip advisor. Surya gave me pleasant surprise when I am waiting for my son at lobby ~ beautiful food platter! Certainly I will come back again!

The hotel is fairly new, it is clean and confortable, in a great location, less than 10mn walk from the mosques and the grand bazaar, with many cafes, shops and restaurants near by. It is also very quiet in spite of its central location (even if the walls are a bit thin). The buffet breakfast is plentifully. The wifi however, whilst strong, is very annoying as it logs you out constantly. If not careful, you will be using your data which, for foreign visitors, can be costly. However, what makes this hotel stands out from the rest is its staff. The gentlemen on reception speak excellent English and are really friendly, always with a smile on their faces and nothing is any trouble. It really made my stay very pleasant. Thank you for your outstanding customer service!

We stayed 4 nights. New hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. 10 min walk to Aya Sofya Mosque. Many restaurants around. Clean and spacious room with tea/coffee facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Varied and tasty breakfast, although quite a small restaurant room.... One remark - quite rather poor soundproofing of the walls but acceptable. Good hotel to stop in the center of the old town and explore the city.

This was such a great hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet. It’s relatively new and therefore doesn’t have a lot of reviews yet but deserves a much higher rating. It’s in a quiet side street but only a couple of minutes’ walk to the Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and other sights. Very close to Gülhane tram stop - just walk back up the hill to a steep one way street. Room was clean with a small balcony and great sideways view of HS. You will hear the calls to prayer - quite loud when the first one starts before 5:00am! We had single beds which were narrow but very comfy. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly staff and a nice welcome. Would stay again.
