My first time at this property, and I must say, all personnel with whom whom I engaged were very accommodating and solicitous. I was upgraded to a nice suite with retro classical decor. The bedding and furnishings were attractive, comfortable, and well maintained. The only issues were with the poor window soundproofing and a coffee table whose glass top was not properly affixed. The breakfast buffet was quite substantial and replete with many choices, including vegan options. My prearranged special requests were honored without hesitation and were waiting for me upon my arrival Service was attentive and efficient. The location was just about ideal, close to all manner of shopping, dining and entertainment venues and less than 10 minutes on foot to Taksim Square. Definitely a plus fir first time visitors to Istanbul.

I stayed at this hotel after an 18-hour flight, and unfortunately, it was not the peaceful oasis I had hoped for. The hotel's location is right in the heart of a very busy area, and the noise from people talking loudly and screaming on the street along with constant traffic and car horns, persisted until 7 am. This made it extremely difficult to get any rest, which is far from ideal, especially after such a long journey. I would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place, especially if you value your sleep or are in a relationship seeking a peaceful atmosphere. In addition to the noise issues, I had a concerning experience with the hotel's management. Upon checking out, I discovered a discrepancy in the receipts. It appeared that someone had used the spa services and charged them to my room without any verification of their room number. The reception initially presented me with an invoice that showed my room number associated with the spa charges. After about 20 minutes of confusion and several phone calls, they acknowledged the mistake and refunded my deposit. One positive aspect of my stay was the hotel staff. They were very friendly.

I don’t know where these rave reviews come from… the hotel is really beautiful and in a good location, but that’s where the positives end…. On the first day, the impression was spoiled, we arrived at the hotel at 10 am, had to wait until 2 to check in, asked for an additional fee to check us in earlier, to which the reception told me there were no rooms, while the man standing in front of me asked to change his room to another and did they do it without any problems?! Then room service, we ordered a glass of wine in the room, they brought something completely different, when I asked why the wine was different, they answered that it had run out and we replaced it for you... without asking me, they just silently replaced it and that’s all... Today, after cleaning, we discovered that they had only put one pair of towels (we live in the room together), and they didn’t leave any drinking water at all, but they supplied a new one to replace the one we had drunk... Coffee capsules are paid, although I don’t drink guard coffee, but for a 5-star hotel this is not acceptable... in general, the hotel was disappointing, you shouldn’t declare 5 stars if you don’t meet the level.

The hotel is in an excellent location very close to Istiklal Caddesi and heart of Istanbul. Very easy to get to from the airport a EUR 20 ride. The hotel boasts a lovely lobby and outdoor bar, with friendly staff Emre and Mert in particular. The problems start as one tries to go above.
The two lifts were continually out of service and hotel room service also share the lift with guests, this should not happen in a hotel of the standard. The staircase to the restaurant on the top floor also had the dirty laundry of the restaurant on one side of the stairs.
The rooms boasted a lovely view, although there were certain eccentricities, the room smelt of stale smoke even though it was non smoking and then water was free on one side of the room but the self same still water was for pay on the minibar in smaller bottles. Nespresso capsules which are typically free in most 5 star hotels were part of the minibar and roughly 4EUR which is a bit ridiculous if you make it yourself. Bed was very comfortable and shower amenities were decent.
The breakfast buffet was very decent on the whole even though the staff could be a little off hand. I was told I couldn't sit at an empty table supposedly on grounds of it being reserved without a sign. I have never heard of any Protocol at breakfast at any other hotel I have stayed at. Some of the plates were dirty and needed cleaning but they addressed when I pointed it out.
In reality this is not a 5 star hotel experience and does not deserve to command such a rating, notwithstanding the decoration and effort in lobby and front of house areas, the hotel management would do well to concentrate on details and functionality over appearance, as it is not befitting other high end hotels in the Accor brand such as the Gallery in Galata which is considerably nicer at a similar price point.

Phenominal. From the guest services staff to the intricate details in the architecture, the Rixos Pera lives up to any guests standards.
The location, near Taskim Square is convenient for those looking to hop on public transit or go shopping in the new city. The hotel is able to arrange taxi or car hire services for you within a couple hours notice if needed. The rooms (we stayed in the family suite) are ample in space for a family of 4 and are cleaned throughly due to ongoing pandemic. Try to get the city/seaside view.
The breakfast service on the top floor is offered daily and may be complimentary depending on your package. Be sure to bring your camera as the views of the old city are spectacular! The breakfast will offers diners vegetarian and vegan options if desired, but also offers your standard dairy and meat options. All of the meat is halal.
The flagship feature of the hotel is the staff. Mr. Nuri is a member of the Clefs D'Or. An elite concierge organization that is able to assist guests with any of their needs. Through him and Mr. Ugurcan (Bell Captain) our family was able to book a Covid test in under 24 hours, find the items we needed from a local bazaar, and get information on taxi bookings and airport information.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay. As a Diamond member on Accor I have booked a non refundable reservation with all my credit card details and personal information. As we arrived at the hotel, the front office staff said that the reservation office has canceled our reservation and we have to find a different hotel as they were fully booked They were not kind. We were shocked. As a diomand member we were expecting a welcome drink , a warm welcome and a room upgrade. Instead we felt terrible. After 30 mins of discussion, I have explained them that they can not cancel a non-refundable reservation as it was prepaid. They claimed that they have WhatsApp texts , phone records and emails about the information they have sent us about the cancellation which was not true. I have later asked them to show any of these records. Of course they couldn’t because we were not contacted by any means. We felt very uncomfortable. We strongly recommend not to book this hotel. Later they accepted to give us a room. The room was with low standards and very old.

We’ve decided to stay at Rixos Pera Istanbul for the second time and once again our experience has been wonderful. We stayed here last year when I was pregnant and this year we came back with our baby daughter and it just felt like home again. The staff members at the reception and the restaurant were very attentive and helpful as well as the great location which is just two minutes walk to istiklal street but at the same time it’s so quite and has a wonderful view from our room which was a city view and the rooftop restaurant with the bosphorus view. The guys at the restaurant were very kind and helpful especially that we had a 7 month old baby so the service was excellent especially the lady Esma who was super helpful and friendly. On the first day she recommended the new waffle served hot with honey which become a breakfast staple for me during the stay and she never stopped looking after us if we needed anything and we were happy with the service. I would also like to thank Umarbek who was very friendly and helped install our little daughter in the restaurant every morning and was very attentive to any needs we might have. The staff at the reception and the concierge were also very professional and offered help with information about locations or taxis on request which was very important to us because in the past we had bad experiences with taxis being overpriced, however with their help we could reach our desired destinations smoothly, safely and with reasonably priced fares as they used Taxi-meter. Overall, we enjoyed our 5 night stay at Rixos Pera and whenever we visit Istanbul in the future it will be home for us again and again because we found comfort, quality, helpful and friendly staff as well as excellent location.
