Just returned from a trip to Istanbul, Divan hotel was one of the nicest places we've stayed on all our trips! Everyone on the tour agreed it was a 5 star hotel from the security, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds and friendliness of the employees. Highly recommend staying at this hotel!!!

My wife and I traveled with friends to Turkey for both business and pleasure. My wife picked up the Divan hotel, after our friends stayed there. We arrived beginning of September, and - with all this news about ISIS - were relieved to find out there was a tight security. We expected only tourists from the Middle East, but saw...

The hotel is directly in front of Taksim Square, within easy walking distance to the main pedestrian street. The rooms are very well appointed with very nice amenities and beautiful furnishings. Even the slippers are cushioned and softer than usual. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes, fresh fruit, fresh nuts and dried...

This was a first time in Istanbul. My wife and I spent a week there and the location was just about perfect -- the hotel is right on Taksim Square and it was easy to get to the docks to take the ferrys to the Asian side and the Prince Islands, and it was easy to take the tram to...

This was my first time since this hotel has been completely rebuilt. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well decorated, the bathrooms are beautiful. The staff is very helpful and very professional. The location is perfect for business and leisure. When Internet will be free in the rooms, and the present archaic connection procedure in the lobby will be made...

I have stayed at this hotel in six different occasions and have been impressed by the professionalism, attentive customer service and facilities overall. I would like to highlight the work done by Mr. Ali Kemal Ortulu in always providing friendly, professional and efficient service at the front desk.

Of course, to be upgraded to a suite gives an immediate good impression, but this was sustained by the sheer niceness and professionalism of the staff, most of whom seemed to speak good English. Beautiful, tastefully furnished rooms and public areas give a homely and relaxed ambience. Terrific position, our rooms overlooking the greenery of Gezi park, a short walk...

This place is all about its location. Just a throwaway from Taksim square. Very good room and nice place overall. The staff though could be better. the place is so near to all the shopping and food places that it is very convenient.

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
