Excellent location, nice hotel facilities fitted in a relatively small building (garden, restaurant, lobby - looked bigger on pictures), staff friendly, volunteered help and city information unprompted

When you come to Istanbul you want a good quiet room to come back to after long days wandering the streets and sites of this most amazing of cities. You want an excellent breakfast that has a variety of traditional offerings and...

The hotel is in the old city, and several minutes to blue mosque, but if you take tram most of the time, it's not so convenient, since you need to climb the hill everyday. The room is large and comfortable, but the room we stayed is by the road, and sometimes is noisy. The breakfast is excellent, with lots of...

If you like to make cultural tours the location is the best one in istanbul. Rooms are clean staff is very smiley. I advice t-you to make breakfast at roof. They have very good istanbul panorama. Please be careful of cheater sales men around the hotel.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
