Stayed in room 220 OMG. The view is amazing. looks straight on to the blue Mosque. The hotel its self is is old with no lifts. The room s are not large however are equipped with mini fridge and remote tv, A shower room and toilet which again are not large however are adequate for your needs. The staff are very friendly(need to especially Iman who is one of the waiters) Rooms are serviced daily to a high standard. In terms of location a small bazaar is straight across the road. All other attractions including the Hagia Sophia are a ten to fifteen minute walk. To many bars and restaurants around to count

I have been to Istanbul 4 times in a course of 25 years and am going there again in November. I stayed in Sultanahmet last time in 2022 and I am choosing to stay there again. the location is excellent in my opinion and the staff was welcoming. The hotel is not Grand but, very comfortable and is conveniently located to all old town tourist attractions. The breakfast is good with plenty of choices.
The beauty of Istanbul lies in the lovely mix of culture in a town that blends the old with the new. This location allows you to enjoy all the old sites on foot like Blue mosque, Arasta bazar, Grand bazar, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia etc and for the Dolmabahce palace, Taksim Square, and Cihangir and Kadikoy which represents the new you will need public transport or Uber. There is so many vantage points throughout the city looking over the Bosphorus sea that, in my opinion are breathtaking.I still consider Istanbul to be a very beautiful and lively city worthy of visit. Istanbul has definitely gotten expensive and crowded over the years with the influx of tourism/war but, I would give SultanAhmet palace an 8 and Istanbul city a 9 just my opinion.

Very much liked the hotel, convenient location - a couple of minutes and you on the main square of Sultanahmet, and from the balcony of the room on both sides mesmerizing views - to the bay and to the Blue Mosque, you can feed seagulls from your balcony, even from the terrace. Excellent breakfasts, but the rooms are small, the two of them may already be cramped, but it is normal for small hotels))) Thank you to the staff - very sympathetic guys at the reception, helped with luggage, with advice on where to go, organized transfers and their positivity set the mood for the day!

The hotel has a few great features. First -its location, just steps away from all the historic places in Istanbul. Great staff. Every single member of the staff was very nice, spoke excellent English, provided helpful tips regarding trips, restaurants. The negatives: we were on the ground floor and there was constant noise. The is no sound proof and we could hear even when somebody cough in the next room. and kids running in the room in front of ours. The tile floors do not help when somebody moves the chairs in the room above. Noise when you open the door, easily fixable. The towels need replacement ASAP as I think they saw the washing machine way too many times. If noise it’s not something that others you, it’s a good value for price. It didn’t work for us

Location to the sights is so convenient. Breakfast is great, overlooking the water. But power & internet constantly went down. Every hotel & restaurant have their own back up power generator but the hotel generator needed constant attention, meaning no Airconditioning and sometimes no water. Our balcony had uninterrupted view of the Blue Mosque which was stunning, but most just have a view of a carpark. It seems the internet network goes down constantly too. Reception has their own mobile backup for taking payments but does not share this network with guests. The staff were charming but unable to help. I’d recommend staying in the Beyoğlu district: it’s way more tasteful, relaxed and a short tram ride to whatever you want to do & see. The Sultanahmet district in general is 100% tourist & lacking human charm.

We were not the first time in the hotel and I am always thrilled by the friendliness of the staff and everything thought through down to small details that make your stay more enjoyable. It really is a small, beautiful paradise oasis, in the middle of the popular district of Sultan Ahmet The staff is always trying to fix any problems. We wanted to have a room on the other side of the hotel, and as soon as a room became available we were allowed to move. Especially at breakfast on the terrace outside with sea views we were warmly welcomed by the staff every morning and the breakfast tastes wonderful. Nothing is missing. I think it's especially nice that they take care of a cat family who live in the hotel. I always say who is good to animals is also kind to people and really has a good heart. That's why thanks to the management they allowed. Everything picobello clean and the view just wonderful. You really feel like a guest of the Sultan, who was allowed to live next to the palace and looked at the beautiful blue mosque every morning. We will definitely be back.

This was our first and last stop on a three week tour of Turkey that took us well beyond Istanbul. It has an ideal location in the heart of the old town/tourist district and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The location was also nice and quiet. There is a charming garden courtyard at the front and the restaurant/bar/breakfast room is at the back with a large terrace overlooking The Bosphorous. There was quite a bit of variety at breakfast though I didn't find the quality of the food outstanding. By the end of our trip I had adopted the Turkish custom of eating tomatoes, cheese, and olives for breakfast and then I was very happy. The decor of the hotel is delightfully Ottoman (or otherwise distinctively not Western European or Nort h American) and we found it quite enchanting. The room we had for our first stay was comfortable and adequately appointed. It had one of their "hamam style" bathrooms and I was not a fan of that. Apart from the (weird for a North American) basin in the shower, it was just very very small and awkward to get in an out (and we are NOT large people). For our subsequent stay at the end of the trip we had requested a room with a bathtub and we were very pleased with that. Both the room and the bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The only glitch there was that they did not - and apparently could not - provide a plug for the bathtub drain so there was this nice long, deep, beautiful bathtub and no way to have a bath in it. :-( We asked twice about a plug and apparently they don't provide them because people lose them. (??) It seems to me that the cost of plugs would surely be minimal and a good investment in guest satisfaction. Oh, well.... This is the hotel where we learned that the Turkish approach to bedding is quite different than what we are accustomed to in Canada or Europe, the challenge being that the bed coverings do not reach the edge of the bed. We learned that this is standard throughout Turkey so not something we should complain about but people should be aware. We asked for a second blanket and were given one. All in all, I would probably stay there again though might explore other options. We were travelling with a tour group (as an experiment) so didn't choose this ourselves.

Hotel is decent looking and clean and the grounds are well kept and nice. Hotel is situated in a great location within a 10 minute walk to the Blue Mosques and Hagia Sophia.
There is a restaurant at the back of the hotel with a great view of the sea and this is where breakfast is served daily from 7:30-10:30AM. Breakfast is decent with a variety of breads, pastries, eggs, cold cuts, coffee, juice, yogurt, and a few other items. You can also special order an omelette with your liking. Wait staff are good and friendly but they don't speak much English.
The rooms are comfortable, decent size and has enough plugs for charging. Now, as far as the front desk goes, keep this in mind and be smart when asking for information to restaurants, sights, or even taxis. The front desk staff has a tendency to upsell and point to some 3rd party vendors for dinner boat tours, private driver, and even a tour guide to take you around. All of these options are ridiculous in price and you can easily do it on your own at a fraction of what they quote. For example, a dinner boat cruise is $70 Euro, tour guide at $100 Euro for a few hours, and private driver to the airport for $70 Euro. Keep in mind that you can get a very nice meal with drinks in the old city for 25-30 Euro, and a taxi to the airport for 20-30 Euro.
Other than the front desk pushiness as mentioned above, the hotel is a decent place to stay and is definitely in a convenient location.

I really wanted to like this hotel as a friend recommended it. I didn't. The only plus was location. Across the street from Arasta Bazaar and the Blue Mosque. Five minute walk to the Hagia Sofia. The clerks at reception were welcoming. That's where the good ends. There is constant traffic on the street with buses lining up to pick up visitors. The smell of vehicle fuel is nauseating.
As the Blue Mosque is across the street the call to prayer will most certainly wake you up. The rooms are small and outdated. The key card for the room runs the power so you cannot leave items to charge. This also means the mini-fridge items are warm, all the time, even beverages you bring in from the outside. The bathrooms are tiny. My 6'5" husband would smack his head on the shower rod as you have to step in to the shower to close the door, as the toilet is located behind the door. The shower space is cramped as the turkish sink juts out.
The breakfast was disappointing. The only fresh fruit were grapes. All bakery items are brought in from outside as nothing is made fresh. Omelettes are microwaved. We found the wait staff condescending and borderline rude.

A few things are standouts for this hotel, firstly the location cannot be beat being so very close to the Blue Mosque and all the walkable attractions. We were there for 11 nights and booked the basic room, they offer 2 different bathroom layouts, we changed to have a more 'western' style with a bath. The dining room had stunning views but the breakfast let our overall stay down. The front garden and rear terrace were great spots to sit and relax while other hotels were squashed together, we felt the hotel was a calming retreat. We would definitely recommend the hotel and maybe upgrade our room choice for our next stay!

Rooms are in second floor and restaurant on the top where the sea view is great!
I do not remember this hotel has elevator, I suggest to communicate directly to them.
There are more places to choose from in the Istanbul area.
