This hotel is a gem. It is a perfect location for visiting the old town of Istanbul. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. The buffet breakfast is outstanding.

It was my second time at this hotel. I felt very pleased, when the doorman obviously rememberd me when I arrived. That is excellent service. The 3rd floor restaurant is very nice with good breakfast and tasty dinners. The view there is just amazing!

Regarding the room I appreciated the combination of comfort and eye for detail with local tturkish traditional products like the soap. The breakfast was astonisihing, not only in view of the choice and comnbination of flavours and products, but also and especially because of the wonderfull location on the terrace with a sublime view. The rates in the bar I...

5 of us stayed in the house. The terrace is nice and the two bedrooms are more that acceptable. The pullout couch on the main floor is not really suitable as a bedroom The location is good if you are a light sleeper, the house has lots of creeks and groans

We stayed at a house near the hotel and our rental included complimentary breakfasts on the superb rooftop terrace with views across the sea and (behind) the Blue Mosque. Breakfasts were the best we had in a period of ten weeks through England, Scotland, France, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria. The restaurant manager was outstanding-he should be given a...

What i liked most was the breakfast under the roof veranda. Rest was ok but the size of the rooms is relatively small ! Price quality ratio average.

Room 221 had a lovely view looking out over the water, a nice walk-in shower and was clean and airy. Unfortunately none of that matters much if you are being kept awake till 1am from the bangs and crashes coming from above. When I called downstairs to reception to mention this, I found out that really nothing can be done....

We are really sorry about the feelings of our esteemed guest and would like to clarify some points here; As our dear guest might remember, although the receptionist offered to change the room, he did not accept the offer because it was a late hour. Next morning, he had an early check-out and sent an e-mail to the hotel Management...

The rooms overlooking the Blue Mosque and those overlooking the Bosphorus are really very nice!!! Breakfast is a FEAST in itself!!! And the best part of it, is that it's located on the terrace.... amazing view all around!!!!!!! I highly recommend it!!!!!!!

This affordable hotel felt luxurious. It was spotless - yet cozy and welcoming, complete with cotton robes, scuffies and crisp impeccable linens, with a comfy bed. We slept well. Our original plan was to stay at the Armada for a week, tour the south Aegean coast, and then return to Istanbul and stay in a different neighborhood - but we...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
