Firstly I was played by the Ataturk airport tourist agency. This is nothing like 4 star hotel! Rooms are so small with very weak AC, dirty and in falling apart state. Receptionists are rude and completely unfriendly. If you want AC to work while you are out you must leave card plugged in. But no one tells you. When I...

We were in october, last year ,in the Crystal Hotel in Istanbul. There was a medical conference there, that lasted four days. Booked in advance and our choice fell on this splendid hotel near the Taxim Square which is the shopping, amusement, culture and congress center of Istanbul. Famous street Istiklal is not far from our hotel. The hotel has a modern...

I was at crystal hotel for a stay of 4 nights, the location was quiet good,100 meters from. Taxim square , every thing else was average: room service, breakfast, conditioning. Room was spacious, but with uncomfortable beds, it can be recommended for a short and cheap stay

Then hotel is just average and there located in the heart of Istanbul where called Taksim Sq. and near shopping centers. Taxies, Metro, Bus are accessible easily and you can reach everywhere easily. a good place for shopalcholic but it should be noted that hotel has really nothing special. The best thing is location and price is good.

Do not waste your money on this hotel. Not more than two stars. Some hostels maybe better than this hotel. There was problem at checkin. During my reside elevators were broke. Room was dirty. Maybe the good point could be the breakfast but its not so voluminous. Totaly I'm not suggest it.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
