I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. It's small and quiet with a botique building. There are a few budgetsmall rooms available that I did not try but looks comfortable. Location is the best point. Just 3-4 minutes to Taksim sq.

Good situated, mid priced but nothing more. Normal room, they don't change bed everyday, very humble choice for breakfast, no local Turkish dish for breakfast...in a country with such a magic and diverse cuisine! Disappointed.

This hotel is ideally situated. My room was nicely renovated, but the mattress needed to be replaced. Café on the top floor was superb for the nightly view over the Bosporus and for the homemade soup!

This is a pretty good mid-priced hotel just steps from Taksim Square. Our room was OK, the bathroom was small but adequate, and the WiFi worked. What more can you ask?! If you want super luxury, this is not a hotel for you, but if you want a decent, clean, convenient hotel it is hard to beat. One of the... More

The Vardar Palace Hotel is a hotel where I stayed several times in the past. It has an old world charm but is just steps away from the excitement of Taksim Square. This boutique hotel is rather unique in the city centre because it evokes an earlier age, whereas most hotels are modern in that area. The charming ambiance of... More

Stayed for a few days, it's my second stay at this hotel because of the reasonable price and location of the hotel in Taksim. The hotel staff are friendly and the room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is nice but basic, but the restaurant has a nice view of Istanbul. It can be noisy in the evenings, especially on... More

Don't stay here if you expect to sleep, especially on the 6th floor!! During my stay there have been birthday parties and Halloween parties until 4am, and I have to get up for work in the morning. And the wi-fi is inadequate for business users. Apart from that, the hotel is reasonably comfortable, and good value, and the location is... More

I have stayed twice at Vardar Palace Hotel, and I am very pleased with my stay. The hotel is clean, and my room was spacious. I love the grand windows and the fact that the building has a past. But most of all, it was great value for the location. The hotel itself is not fussy, but it has everything... More

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
