Great staff especially Ceylan Nar, very gentle and kind. Hotel well located, close to most Istanbul key places (blue mosque, aya shopia, topkapi palace) Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast with a great variety. Hope to see you again.

I stayed in this Hotel for four nights and I've specially appreciate the close proximity to the historic centre of Sulthanhamet. Having few time to visit the magnificent Istanbul, the crucial position of this hotel is very useful, even if all the zone is full of Hotels. The M1 tram stop of Sultanhament, in front of Blue Moschea and Aya...

On checking in we were shown to a three bed room although we had booked a double. On explaining what we had booked we were given a double room with balcony at the rear of the hotel. Throughout our stay the staff were very helpful and polite. The best thing with the hotel is its location with a good variety...

We stayed 3 nights at the Albatros Premier Hotel, location is excellent, rooms a bit worn down but nice enough. Breakfast has a lot of choices. Our friends bathroom had a bit bad smell, otherwise the hotel is nice enough to stay again. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the roof terrace is worth visiting. We had our...

We enjoyed very much our 3 nights in the hotel. Good breakfast, friendly personnel and relatively good price. Thanks again to all the staff. Otelde 3 gecelik konaklamamizdan cok memnun kaldik. Guzel bir kahvalti, guleryuzlu personel, temiz ve genis bir oda, ustelikte Sultanahmet yarimadasinin merkezinde olunca tercihimizi cok dogru yapmis oldugumuza karar verdik. Tum personele tekrar tesekkur ederiz.

Building looks like a palace from outside but is filled with cheap stuff, tiny rooms and low quality breakfast. Except for the very helpful staff, I could see no positives. Although I was given the bigger corner rooms later, for which I am thankful to the hotel manager, will not go back to this hotel.

Amazing hotel very well designed inside and out, also a great location near all the historical sites and a very safe area I had no problem walking around at night. Great way of traveling and cheap the trams which are located 6 minutes from the hotel. Also would like to add, the staff are very pleasant and helpfull they bring...

The hotel is set in a good location within walking distance of the souks and mosque, it has a few bars and restaurants around it but nothing special. Depending on the staff most are friendly and helpful. The room is cosy (small) and could do with updating, the bath is very small and walls are very thin so its a...

Staff makes you feel at home. They are so friendly. Hotel is clean. Location is perfect. You can go to historical places on foot and tramway which goes to main districts is just in a walking distance. Hotel rooms are clean and furniture style is great, feeling yourself in a palace. I strongly recommended.

The hotel was located perfectly, with a partly view to the blue mosque, short walking distance to the sea and in a fairly quiet area. The rooms were good and big, though you could hear a lot of noice from the hallway. The breakfast was fine, but nothing special. There was very good service and all in all a very...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
