I have been in the Erboy 3 times now! So what shall I say: I go there because staff is friendly and rooms are clean (you'll get clean towels every day!) and rooms have everything you'll need for a nice and carefree stay. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the touristic centre of Istanbul. Aya Sofia, the...

I booked the room through www.alpharooms.com as they were the cheapest site. Everything was booked without any problems. The hotel itself is very close to the major tourist site of Topkai Palace, Hagia Sopia et al. Hagia Sopia was a gentle 8 - 10 mins stroll. The hotel itself - the remote control of the TV did not work when...

This hotel is very handily located within walking distance of all the main attractions in Istanbul. Rooms are small but clean. Walls are bit thin but it wasn't a major problem for us. Service is excellent. We were greeted and given a nice introduction to Istanbul as soon as we arrived. I would stay here again.

We recently stayed at this hotel, quite reasonably priced and you can walk to the Palace, Blue mosque, Sofia.. Breakfast staff were offhand and not overly friendly. Wanted to book three extra nights but they told us to come back next morning to do it. As we had a day trip to Gallipoli, leaving at 6am and returning at 11.30pm...

We found this hotel through tripadvisor and it lived up to all the reviews. While the decor is dated the room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom worked very well and was well laid out and we had an opening window unlike many other hotels we stayed in on our tour. The breakfast was very good, with perhaps the...

This was our 5th visit in Istanbul and we have tried different 3-4 stars hotels from the historical center (such as Carlton, Adonis, Legend- BEWARE of these), but Erboy is by far the best hotel in this area. First of all, we came by plane and we had free transfer from the airport. Also, we had a free dinner in...

Among the many hotels in Sultan Ahmed I was lucky to pick Erboy. 3 good days in this wonderfull hotel. The room was nice and spotless, the bathroom worked perfect. The breakfast was good, but most importantly for me, the staff was friendly and very helpfull in all respects. 3 nights and they will pick you up from the airport...

This Hotel is in a wonderful location to explore all parts of the city. I was a lone femal traveller and found its closeness to the metro and all the sites really helpful. I was welcomed as soon as I arrived and given some helpful hints and a metro map which was so helpful later on in my trip. Breakfast...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
