The hotel itself is very new and bright! But the biggest advantage of the hotel is the location. I loved that it was close to the city center and other attractions. The bar upstairs has amazing view and atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for two night. This is a lovely clean hotel with modern facilities. We think we were at the end of the season (November) and there didn't seem to be many guests staying there. A downside to this was the staff did not to be as pro-active as we'd have hoped. This meant me and my partner constantly... More

This hotel has the most amazing view of the Blue Mosque and Iasophia and the Bosferous, but the amazing breakfast is not served in it!!! Unfortunately, breakfast is served in the ground floor lobby. The room are very clean but the housekeeping and bell boy need to use Deodorants!!! We arrived early morning and the staff let us have our... More

This hotel was perfect! Great updated clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, great staff and perfect location. Also -one of the best parts was the top floor terrace bar. We had a drink 2 of the 3 nights at sunset and couldn't be more perfect. I highly recommend Hotel Mina

The hotel is centrally located close to the main sights in Istanbul; the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar etc. It is clean and comfortable and the staff there are generally quite friendly and helpful but without great English if I'm honest. This is Turkey of course and their country but many clients will be English speakers so better... More

The hotel has a very good location, 2 minutes walk to the tram station and is very near from sultanahmet mosque and aya sofia. Rooms were very good designed and in good condition. Breakfast was quite average if not down below average. What I really loved is the terrace, it has the best view of istanbul to the extent it... More

We visited Hotel Mina on 8 August for a week and had a family room. The hotel and the rooms far exceeded what we expected. The hotel was renovated a year ago and it really does show. The finishing of the decor was fantastic and tastefully done. The rooms really did have a homely feel. The hotel was a few... More

My friend who has stayed here previously recommended this place to us and I'm so glad we choose to stay here. It's a small hotel and is centrally located. The hotel is super clean. The breakfast was very good. The staff is very friendly. It's not very expensive and perfect to stay in Istanbul. Loved the place and would definitely be... More

The hotel was in perfect location, all the historic places were on walking distance like grand bazar, hagia sofia, tram stop was just next road. The hotel was really good specially the security, service and the staff behaved very well, rooms were good and clean.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Mina Hotel. Our flight arrived at 6 o'clock in the morning and, since our room was available, they let us check in early with a complimentary breakfast! The room was a perfect fit for our family of five: it was comfortable, spacious, clean and understated elegance. Every member of staff was friendly and... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
