Great location, yummy breakfast, very responsive staff! Very relaxing leisure/holidays. Special thanks to Helin - she really made our short stay comfortable! Very close to Grand Bazar, Aya Sofia and many other places of interest, many places to eat around the hotel, the only thing that bothered my father and mother - steep descents slopes, but the atmosphere of an...

Dear Katerina Thank you for your warm review about our hotel. We try to provide our guests with the best service at our hotel. About the situation in Istanbul. You can be sure that everything is normal and demonstrations was already finished. Also our area - Old City area - is safety. If you're going to come to Istanbul you...

Great location, great staff, great accommodations, amazing view. The breakfast is very good, but it's the only thing that could get improved there. I miss an expresso machine. The location if for sure the best if you want to do tourism in Istanbul. The TV has over 1000 channels from all over the world.

Great seaview from the terrace where they serve a delicious breakfast. Very helpfull staff. The only thing that bothered me was the location...a manufacture shoes area that was very empty at nights...but not very far from the Grand Bazar and Aya Sofya.

Had this hotel recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. The location was really good in easy walking distance to the Blue Mosque and the staff were very friendly. I forgot to book a balcony room but they moved us the next day to accommodate my wishes even though the booking mistake was mine with no extra charge....

Whilst it is located on a nondescript steep side street, we enjoyed being able to retreat to our room with seaside view with terrace in between adventures in Istanbul. Not far from Sultanahmet Square, in the old historic town we could explore the fabulous tourist haunts and also choose to head the other way downhill to the local zone where...

New boutique hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet, Ersari Hotel offers amazing views, nice décor , comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. It is perfectly located within walking distance from all the sites ( 5 min walk from Blue Mosque) but at the same time on a quiet street. I was very happy during my entire stay at the hotel....

We stayed three nights at the Ersari in May 2013 and were very pleased with our experience. Excellent location, within minutes from all the major tourist attractions, restaurants and the tram. What it lacks in size, the Ersari makes up in charm, cleanliness and service. The office manager Helen is both, very helpful and efficient. Their terrace room is esp...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
