It was a nice stay at ev lokum suites in taksim. First, we couldn't find the place but i could remember a comment that helps me when i saw the clean car garage near this B&B. The b&b is small but it's well equiped. Everything was good quality, well decorated and the breakfast was served in the room. I strongly...

Staff: staff was welcoming, very friendly and helpful. They offered us room upgrade at no extra fees, and usually provided help and guidance. Room: The room was clean and neat (as appears on pictures), well equipped and has nice smell. Room was cleaned every day except Sunday. I stayed at Lokum Ev in April. I would like to leave message cos I left from there lots of good memory. Firstly I want to underline location facility. where is so closed to everywhere and also you can get easily any transportation to go where you want. Service is fast and really good. Servants are cheerful and helpful. Rooms...

Very comfortable apartment, great base for transport and reasonably priced local restaurants. BUT, no information in room about transport to tourist sites, recommendations to eat locally or where to visit. Staff helpful but minimally, and assistant doesn't speak English. Very big downside; there is a car wash using a power hose outside in use all day until 11pm at night....

We stayed here for 3 days. It was amazing. The hotel is in the heart of the city, very close to all the attraction, in a trendy, historical area with ful of tasteful cafes, restaurants and clubs. The hotel itself is also very nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast is great. I would really recommend it, especially the room with the...

I stayed at Lokum Ev for a week, six days in the room with a balcony, my favorite! My last night I moved to another room, as the balcony room had been rented. Both rooms were lovely. What a nice stay, the room is beautifully decorated, the bed very comfortable. Was nice sitting on the balcony morning or evening, watching...

Brand new and modern. Cozy suite with a little kitchenette built in. A nice breakfast and cleaned spotless every day. We liked walking around the area very much, narrow streets with antique shops, just a couple of blocks downhill from Taksim Square, close to Istiklal Street.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
