This family hotel is super cozy, clean and has a perfect location! It was a low budget short trip and House of Tulpan managed to fit perfectly into our budget and give us a warm stay as well. The owner, Barish and his wife, made our stay extra warm.

This family run "house" is nestled in a back street about a minutes walk from the busy Istiklal Cad. in Taksim, Beyoglu. This was not my first visit to Istanbul, so I guessed why pay an arm and a leg at one of the big name hotels if I am only going to sleep there, so I found this little...

I think that “The House of Tulpan” is a very nice small hotel. It is placed near Taksim but it is still a very quiet place. Despite the fears of every one lately about the situation in the central parts of Istanbul, one can feel pretty save here, because the Hotel is placed in a small street, where is hard...

We had booked this based on the reviews on tripadvisor, etc, as well as the pictures. Important info: 1) The positive reviews come as a result of the owner/receptionist repeatedly asking for positive feedback. They are nice persons, so I'm sure that's why many think why not. But the hotel is not nice at all. 2) This is not really...

Hotel rooms are small, but lovely. Rooms are equipped with what you need for your stay. Staff is kind, speak English, Russian, Turkish and Azeri. Location is perfect, 2 minutes from Istiklal street and Taksim square. The owner was very kind, even helped us to find a taxi.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
