The small family run apartment/ B&B has fantastic location. It's walking distance to several sights. The breakfast is decent and is served on the top floor (4th I think) with nice views. Our room was kind of dated, very basic but comfy enough for a 14 hour stopover. The bathroom REQUIRED updating. The shower rack was broken and dribbled very...

Located in Old Istanbul area close to all touristy places at walking distances. A family run business hotel as are others in the region. Metro, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Grand bazaar are all within 10 minutes walking range. Good service by the owners and you never feel you are at a hotel.

I saw the room's pictures on the website of this hotel and this prompted me to book with a sea view room which is more expensive other rooms. When I arrived the hotel I really shocked and my wife too. The rooms was completely different of the picture on website. Bathroom is very dirty and too small that doesn't let...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
