Once inside the Hotel, the rooms are very modern and warm. New bathroom suite, good tv, nicely decorated rooms. Breakfast is normal Turkish and is good. Small family hotel and all the staff are very friendly. Good room rates for a very central location in Sultanahmet, most tourist attractions are close by, as is the tram line.My only negative observation...

I stayed already twice and both of them it was OK. The location is very convenient and the rooms are in excellent conditions for the price paid. The only suggestion would be to add some fruits to the breakfast. It is not expensive for the hotel at all, and it gives the chance to those who prefer to eat healthy...

We stayed at Yazar hotel for 3 nights in October, 2016. The hotel and room, while basic, were clean and sufficient. The breakfast also was not top notch but it was enough to get you started for the day. Yazar hotel is good for the money and it is in the heart of istanbul. We literally walked everywhere from this...

Good price. Proper and delicious breakfast. Rooms have enough space, they were clean and beautifully designed. Bathroom was clean. Location was good and neighborhood was silent enough for good sleep on night. Only one of reception people couldnt speak english but we made the deal at last. Nice crew.

This is a 3* Hotel but rating this 4* due to value for money. The hotel is located on a small site street, but thanks to GPS easily found from Sarkici station, just up a little hill. Reception team friendly every time I needed their assistance with good English (not like others mentioned). The room was spacious, comfortable mattress (in...

The family rooms were bright, clean and comfortable. And the hotel is very close the main historical attractions such as the Blue Mosque, Hagya Sophia, the Basilica Cistern and Topkapi palace museum, so that we could visit all of them with a 5-year old child and in just one day. I would like to thank all the personnel from Yazar...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
