I have spent two nights in this wonderful place. The atmosphere is very warm, it allows you to interact with other travelers and share stories, and if you like going out for party, also possible!! Friendly and helpful staff.
It is perfectly located close to many of the main attractions of the old town, but without being exposed to the hustle and bustle. I stayed in a shared room and I slept very well, and when I woke up I could enjoy a beautiful view of the sea from the window .
The bathroom in the room and the bedding were clean.
The complete, typical Turkish breakfast with cheeses, olives, fruits, bread and spreads, and of course tea!
I had a great time, I recommend staying at this place!!

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel in Istanbul! The location is unbeatable, situated in the heart of the city with easy access to all the major attractions. Iconic sights such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar are just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. Public transport options are also close by, so getting around the city is effortless.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Yuna at the front desk. She was always smiling and greeted me warmly every time I walked in. Her friendly attitude and willingness to offer advice on what to see and do in Istanbul really made my stay more enjoyable. Yuna’s personalised recommendations helped me discover hidden gems in the city, and her positive energy was a highlight of the experience.

One of the best parts of the stay was the included breakfast. It was delicious, with a great selection of fresh local foods, including cheeses and fruits. It was the perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore the city.

The hostel itself was clean, cosy, and well-maintained. The common areas were great for relaxing after a long day of exploring, and it was easy to meet fellow travellers. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Istanbul!

This is truly one of greatest hostel experiences you can hope to have. The rooms are cleaned daily and are really great value for money. There is a free complimentary breakfast each morning with great variety of food to suit everybodies needs. There are events each night such as beer pong, karaoke, free shisha which is ideal for solo travellers to meet other like minded people. The hostel is situated in an ideal location in walking distance of some of Istanbuls beautiful landmarks and public transport. The staff are amazing and are always there to help you with whatever your needs may be 24/7. I could recommend this place highly enough.

Only good thing was location. Almost everything could have been much better.
I didn’t get a room in the hostel building, but in an annex across the street, about 20m away. My stay this way seem like an airbnb, but with no living room, no kitchen, and very small room and bathroom. Worse than that, very poor conditions overall (photos attached). The ceiling lamp was not enough to keep the room to acceptable brightness levels, and 2 bed lamps on each side were not working. very uncomfortable toilet, especially if I needed to use it right after using the shower. Another annoying thing was the excessive number of humidity flies in the room, every night/morning I had to kill several, and the room had at times very nasty smell so I had to open the window.
Incredibly, my room was not done in my 8-night stay, with the exception of day 7. It was ok that it was not done daily, but after day 3 I asked, and I was told it would be cleaned + tower and sheet changes. I reported this, and was told by the receptionist that the laundry service to the hostel 3am. But for the following days, incredibly nobody entered the room, until night 7. At a point I stopped complaining, I didn’t care any more, and I had only in mind to write this review.
Internet in my room was quite bad in the evening and morning, precisely when a guest will most need it. Breakfast was quite basic, and everyday the same. Self-service except for drinks, and every day I would have the coffee either too sweet, or too watery, or too strong, and sometimes up to my taste, but totally random.
While you read this might be thinking, “but it’s a hostel, what were you expecting?”. That is precisely my point: on my search I had seen a couple of boutique hotels in the same area, with cozy rooms, and for even lower price than the private room I got in this hostel. I was totally fouled by comments (maybe some fake?). I had been once to an awesome hostel in Amsterdam so I believed this place would match that previous experience. There is absolute incompetence to run the place, maybe few employees that are overwhelmed with work. What is true is that they were friendly and smile at you and call you by your name. I would definitely have preferred the opposite: being ignored by staff but getting a service according to what I have payed. If you are on a budget and want to stay in a shared room maybe this is an option for you, but if you want a private room, go somewhere else to have a decent stay for the same or smaller price. Eventually if you like the “hostel vibe” just show up for the bar (also BBQ / events depending on the day): as long as you bring and spend cash, you will be more than welcomed.

Cheers is an experience more than a place of travel. The director is a charming man and is 100% to attend to you. I have come with my friends and I could not feel more comfortable, safe and grateful for all the attention paid.

Every day they strive to serve you a new activity and make you part of all the Inn members. There is 24h service there is always someone to have a beer and enjoy a good time.

I have not had the pleasure of eating more than breakfast, which is simple but very good. Beers are affordable compared to what's around.

The location is unbeatable. Next to the center and with access to all parts of the city.

Now that you've read this far. I'll tell you my story. I came with 7 friends and fool of me left my wallet there, when I went to get it I was gone. I'm not saying it was unsafe, it's not, but sometimes these things happen. The director tried so hard to recover it that it became one of the best experiences of the trip. Searching the security cameras together, we found the perpetrator and together we took action on the matter. Everything was resolved and the perpetrator disappeared from Inn and I recovered what I lost. That day we drank and enjoyed one of the best nights of the trip.

I have definitely been to many hostels, hotels and hostels but this has been Top-rated. I would return without hesitation.

CHEERS TO CHEERS!

Well ,it was nice hostel ,because of the guests mainly.
Too many stairs.
I stayed in female 6beds dorm,
Bed was comfortable ,but door handle and the key were broken and they tried to fix it but no success , for us was more easy to just keep the door open whole time!!
There was an BBQ event and me and some other guests joined that for 15€ , food was delicious plus one free drink ,but it doesn't worth it .
But the main reason I won't go back here is, you are not allowed to drink other drinks ,alcoholic or not there. bar is in common area ,so when I was drinking a beer on terrace , bar tender came and told me I'm not allowed to drink things they serve at their bar , and if I wanna drink them I have to do it in my room! Nothing to say !
So unreasonable , rude ,...

picture: two girls, cold. alone. lost. afraid. stumbling through the streets in desperate need of shelter. cheers lighthouse cheered our souls and lit our darkness.

tldr:
great location, very walkable to places you want to walk to (ie, tourist attractions)

jay (10/10 for bartending, 2/10 for beer pong) and murat (10/10 for beer pong, 10/10 for everything else too) were very friendly and helpful, so that was cool too.

great free breakfast, was never shamed for requesting three sugars in my tea which is quite frankly unheard of.

it was a little old (hole in the stairwell ceiling lol), but overall a trusty and faithful friend whom i would return to again.

we booked a deluxe double room, but received a standard one as the deluxe was not available.
in front of the room were the bins located, the room itself was tiny, the walls in bedroom and bathroom had cracks, the tv was damaged, some parts of the base board and ceiling board were missing, the windows led to the balcony of the neighbours' room.
when we complained at the management, there was no other room available, so we moved out. the management denied to pay back the prepaid money. i recommend to avoid this accommodation by all means.

The hostel is in a perfect location to see the historic sites of Istanbul. I’ve stayed in hundred of hostels in many parts of the world and the friendliness of this place is second to none, it may not be 5 star but the rooms have great aircon, the beds are comfy and the bar is well stocked. The guys that work and own this place are very lovely . Sometimes you want to relax on your own even in a hostel atmosphere but after spending a week here I feel like I’m part of the cheers family. Everyone remembers your name , it’s a hostel so you may not get 5 star facilities but you will get 5 star service. You can organise all trips from here and the location is better than most in Istanbul for for what you want. Overall , I’d give it a 10/10 for the experience I’ve had in this place . Max on the bar and reception deserves some praise for his work here . If you’re lucky enough to stay when he’s on shift that night , I’m sure you’ll have a great time in Istanbul . Don’t hesitate to book!

Airport pick up varies a lot in price. We paid around 30 Euros when we went to our hotel (they arranged for us) but there is a service just across the street that sent us back for 12 Euros. We weren't at the hotel, we were next door but ate there a few times it was very good. The road to the airport is very busy at night. Allow two hours to get to the airport. We got to the hotel in around 30 minutes in the morning.
