The hotel is minutes from the blue mosque and other attractions and the area has plenty of restaurants. The hotel itself is at the end of the strip so is quiet . It has a lovely roof terrace where breakfast is served and although they don't serve alcoholic drinks we could take our own drinks up to the roof terrace...

We liked the hotel. It was certainly close to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace and more. It was a bit farther from the Grand Bazaar but still an easy walk. However, the neighborhood behind the Blue Mosque was so touristy. It was filled with hotels and restaurants and the latter places were always trying to entice you...

We stayed in a basement room and found the hotel very good. The location is ideal to access the local attractions, eateries and tram. The breakfast is adequate and has a great roof top location. Its not a extensive buffett breakfast so be warned. The staff were very good and arranged our transfers to the airport which ran smoothly. The...

Stayed a week here and had great sleeps every night, plenty of hot water, fantastic breakfasts and lots of fun and laughs with the boys working here. Rooms are clean and comfy and our bags were carried upstairs for us. Fatima who prepares breakfast is gorgeous and looked after us like a mum. Location is perfect; a few steps from...

My husband and I stayed here for a night during our layover in Istanbul and we loved this hotel. It has convenient location, comfy rooms, good bedrooms sizes with very nice and clean bathrooms. It's close to the tram, markets, mosques, restaurants and stores. Definitely staying here in our next visit. The person in the lobby is a real gentleman,...

Great cozy place where we spent 5 days. The location is beautiful in old Istanbul at walking distance from TopKapi, Ayya Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Sultanahmed tram station. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful in recommending activities as well as organizing them. Well deserved 5 stars and a big thanks to Fatima, Mashalla and Zeki for making...

Great, clean and well situated hotel. The breakfast are amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a bit noisy at night - nothing earplugs couldn't fix as well as the late and early morning prayers. A very nice stay and would recommend it.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
