We travelled to Istanbul on the 17th of April the weather was still cold but we still enjoyed our stay at the Almina hotel. The staff were very friendly and always willing to help and answer our questions. The hotel was also close to the blue mosque and tram station. If l went to Istanbul would stay again at the...

Very good breakfast, good location, good service and great view. The shower was pretty average with water temperatures constantly fluctuating and the pressure of it being quite low. For a four start hotel it's very economical.

Really enjoyed staying in Almina Hotel! It’s small, but cozy place, nearby to many historical places. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all needed facilities. Love their fresh and delicious breakfast with amazing Seaview. In addition, they have very friendly and helpful staff. My special regards to manager Ferhat.

Enjoyed it, small clean rooms. welcoming & friendly service. 6 minutes walk to Istanbul main historical attractions (blue mosque, aya sofia, topkape palace, sultan ahmet tram). Nearby shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good. They offer private airport transfer on request and cost is similar to other companies.

The hotel is located not far from Sultan Ahmet. Area close to the blue mosque of Topekapi and Aya Sofia. It is in a very quiet and touristy place but you have to walk in a climb about 20 mn to reach the tramway (T1) or the Bayazit Grand Bazaar. We stayed at Almina hotel 8 days in March 2017....

Location The Almina, as many mentioned before, is very well located in Sultan Ahmet, the old town of Istanbul. Just next by the Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet (blue) Mosque and the Topkapi Palace. Its only 10 minutes by walk from the tram station “Sultan Ahmet”. It is also surrounded by thousands of restaurants (good ones and bad ones). The staff at...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
